Chapter 11

*Time Skip: Next Day*

The news that a titan was on humanity's side spread quickly.

"Hey, is there really a titan on humanity's side?" a civilian asked.

"Obviously, it's just a rumor" a civilian responded.

"It's possible the mission to retake our land will fail, and we'll end up with tons of refugees from Wall Rose." a civilian stated.

*Time Skip*

Armin and Mikasa where in the mess hall eating. They began to hear people start talking about Eren.

"Eren's inquisition..." Armin said.

"What's it about?" Mikasa said worried.

"I'm not sure, but I'd guess they're deciding what to do with Eren." Armin said.

"What to do with him?" Mikasa said worried but curious.

"Probably whether to kill him or let him live." Armin stated.

Hearing this made Mikasa stand. She was even more worried than before.

"Mikasa Ackerman! Armin Arlert! Are you here?" A higher up said.

"Yes sir." Mikasa responded.

"You are to appear as witnesses at this afternoon's inquiry." The higher said and walked away.

*Time Skip*

Eren was in his cell sitting in his bed since he could not do anything else. He could probably break out of his chains but did not want to.

"May I please have some wat-" Eren said but interrupted.

"Hey... know your place, monster." a guard said.

Eren looked down at his hand.

"Monster? That is true, but I'm willing to help them." Eren thought.

"They are so afraid that they had to chain me up. I guess I understand where they are coming from. I honestly do not really know much myself. At least I still have both of them. They are the only ones that view me as human." Eren added.

As Eren continued to think, he heard footsteps and then a woman appeared in front of him. She had a creepy look. Eren was just creeped out by the woman's stare.

"So, you are Eren, huh? Are you okay? Anything new?" the woman asked.

Eren just looked shocked.

"Sorry for the wait. You are finally getting out, but you'll have to wear these." the woman said as he reached for a pair handcuffs in her pocket.

Eren was soon in handcuffs walking to where the inquiry was going to be held.

"I'm Hanji Zoe, a Survey Corps squad leader. And he is another squad leader, Mike Zacharius." Hanji said.

Mike was sniffing and Eren just seemed uncomfortable.

"Um..." Eren said.

"He has the habit of sniffing people he's just met, and then smirking. I do not think it has any real significance. After all, he's good enough that they gave him squad leader." Hanji said as they walked.

"Oh sorry! Too much chit-chat. We are already here. Do not worry. It's actually better not to get any explanation in advance." Hanji said as she opened the door.

"I know it is selfish, but we have faith in you." Hanji said.

"That is all I ask for." Eren said.
