Chapter 23

Armin and Mikasa left the tunnel leaving Eren by himself. Eren felt as if the ground was rumbling. He then looked up and the ceiling collapsed in on itself. Armin saw what happened to Eren while Mikasa fought the Female Titan. Armin went to where Eren was at.

"Eren!" Armin shouted. Eren was a bloody mess underneath the rubble.

"Hold on, Eren. You'll be fine." Armin said as he started to move pieces of debris out the way.

The Female Titan noticed Armin was with Eren and began to make her way to where they were. Mikasa went for the nape. The Female Titan tried to swat her away but instead hit some buildings causing debris to fly everywhere. Some of the debris sent Mikasa straight to ground. The Female Titan made her way to Eren but was stopped by some other soldiers.

*Meanwhile*

"What the hell is going on?" Nile Dawk questioned.

Some Military Police higher-ups ordered the escort squads to check out was going on. Nile was confused on the situation.

"Nile, deploy all troops immediately. We are to assume a Titan has appeared." Erwin stated.

"Are you out of your mind? This is Wall Sina. There's no way a Titan has showed
up." Nile stated.

Jean then exited his cart and removed his wig. He then went to Commander Erwin.

"Commander, what's the plan?" Jean questioned.

"Go ask Squad 4 for equipment." Erwin said.

"Yes, sir." Jean said.

"I like the brass balls but try not to swig them so hard they get you killed." Levi said.

"Yes, sir." Jean said. Jean then ran off.

Nile was confused and began to question Erwin. A soldier then came to Erwin and handed him a suitcase with 3DMG. Erwin began to give orders to some soldiers. Nile stopped him and aimed a gun at him.

"What you're doing right now is clearly treason against the crown! I'm well within my right to shoot you where you stand." Nile said.

"Think, Nile. I find it hard to believe you are as thick-headed as you look. You are a trigger away from making the biggest mistake of your life." Levi stated.

"Remove the equipment, Erwin!" Nile ordered.

*Time Skip*

Civilians were running away from the Female Titan. The Military Police was on guard ready. Survey Corps members were fighting the Female Titan and were simply getting swatted away or crushed. Mikasa got back up and began fighting her once more.

"I'm not going to make this easy on you!" Mikasa yelled as she cut the Achilles tendon of the Female Titan.

Armin was trying to get Eren out.

"Eren, talk to me!" Armin said. Jean came up behind him.

"Hey! What the hell is going on!" Jean questioned.

"Help me. Eren's trapped!

"Why didn't he transform into a Titan." Jean questioned.

"He waited for Mikasa and I to get away from him and then the tunnel collapse on him!" Armin explained.

"He couldn't do it?" Jean said. He then gritted his teeth and began speaking to an unconscious Eren.

"That's it! Enough of your bullshit, Eren! Didn't I once tell you that I'm counting on you? Look at yourself, our fate is in your hands. We are out there putting our lives on the line and this is how you repay us? Is this...what Marco...really died for?" Jean said.
