"BOOKS?"

"Check."

"Toothpaste?"

"Check."

"Trunk?"

"Check."

"Lizzie, we've been doing this for twenty minutes. We've gone over everything you could possibly leave at home! You have everything you need." Camille was used to Elizabeth getting anxious about leaving for Hogwarts, but it had never been this bad before.

"I know, but what if I forgot something!? Something that I'll need immediately, and now that I don't have it, something awful will happen, and everyone will turn and look at me and say, 'Ah, if only Lizzie knew how to pack, we could've been spared this mess!'!" Elizabeth said, flinging her hands around to add emphasis to her worries.

Camille put her hands on her daughter's shoulders to still her. "Elizabeth, nothing bad is going to happen because you could've forgotten your toothbrush --"

"My toothbrush!" Elizabeth exclaimed, turning and running down the hallway to her bathroom to get her toothbrush. She came running back into the living room a few moments later, triumphantly holding a purple toothbrush above her head.

"Okay, yes, lovely, you have all your things, now we really need to go!" Camille grabbed the toothbrush from her daughter's hands, shoved it in her trunk, and closed it again before grabbing one side of it and heaving the heavy black trunk slowly towards the door. The clock on the wall showed the time to be 10:15. The Hogwarts train left at 11:00. It took 30 minutes to get to King's Cross Station from their house, so they would make it there with a comfortable time window to get onto the platform if they left now. However, for the Sharpe girls, being early meant you were on time, and being on time meant you were late. So by their standards, they were already running behind.

Elizabeth hadn't even considered the time, instead choosing to continue stressing over whether or not she had everything she needed. "But what if I forgot m --"
