HOGWARTS, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 1993

When Elizabeth entered the Great Hall with Amirtha and Maeve the next day, the room was already full of students chatting and discussing their new course schedules. Normally, the hall would've been emptier at the early hour, but most students got up early on the first day, excited for a brand new year at Hogwarts. Although, even the excitement of Hogwarts wasn't enough to make Amirtha happy about getting up early.

"This is precious time that I could be using to sleep," she grumbled as they walked through the stone doorway. It had taken Elizabeth and Maeve's combined efforts to shake her awake that morning.

"This is 'precious time' that you can use to figure out your courses," Maeve said back in her sweet voice, subtly rolling her eyes.

Elizabeth's eyes scanned the Great Hall as she planned to sit with Harry, Ron, and Hermione that morning. Amirtha seemed to perk up upon noticing this and nudged her in the side.

"Looking for loverboy?" she teased with a wide grin, eyes still looking tremendously tired but livelier now that she had something she deemed worthy of missing extra sleeping time.

Elizabeth only rolled her eyes and shook her head at her comment. Her eyes landed on the three sitting at the Gryffindor table, Harry already looking in her direction and waving towards her.

"Now, don't let us stand in the way of love," Amirtha added, softly pushing Elizabeth towards the Gryffindors as Maeve giggled. The brown-haired girl smiled at her friends before telling them she would see them later and heading towards her other best friends.

"Good morning!" Elizabeth said, sitting down next to Harry.

Harry and Hermione replied with "Good morning!" while Ron nodded, his mouth full of sausages he had just stuffed in.

"What classes do you all have?" Elizabeth asked, pulling out her course sheet to compare with the others.

Hermione already had hers on the table, grinning happily as she reviewed her schedule.
