HI EVERYONE
Wow, Thin As Water is actually done! It's kind of hard to believe since I've literally been working on this for a year. But yay!
I'd just like to say, WOW was this book a lot angstier than I planned. I knew there was going to be a child abuse arc that would end with Lil's father saving them, but to lead up to that, I had to somewhat isolate Lil. However, the way that happened was just like, very excessive and I slightly regret it. Maybe at some point in the future, I'll write another version of this with less angst. Who knows.
Anyway, let's talk about the future!
I know what my next book is going to be.
*drumroll*
Skie as head girl. This is not a surprise to anyone, probably. I can tell you that the title will be "For Good" and it is a direct sequel to For the Better. This book obviously is important to the overall arc of For Good (since Hazel and Raven will be a thing ofc) but in general, that book should be significantly fluffier. I say should because as Hazel once said, Mr. Matthews isn't anyone's favorite person. But I can promise that he's nowhere as bad as Mrs. VanGrayson.
However, I still have quite a bit of planning to do before I begin For Good. So, I'll be taking a bit of a break from my long form books to write a couple short stories while I plan, and my goal is to start For Good in March-ish.
Basically, keep an eye on my Tales of EHPA book for some short stories that may or may not include: how Hazel and Raven started dating, maybe a little Hazel/Lil/Daisy backstory, and possibly even the original version of Take Me Instead (spoilers, it involves a one room schoolhouse).
I think that's all I've got. Thank you all so much for your support, it truly means the world.
Love you all,
Aki
