Chapter 10

"Betty!" Nancie screamed as she walked into the fire to find her best friend. She looked everywhere and couldn't find her and was now wondering if she was in the house or not.

The further Nancie went in the bigger the fire got and the smoke going into her lungs got thicker.
She couldn't walk any further and couldn't find her way out. Exhaustion hit her and she slowly slid down a wall covering her face from the smoke and fire. Hoping that someone would find her soon.

"Danny you piece of shit!" Rafe shouted at Danny. "How could you do this to me and my sister?"

"I told her I'm sorry and nothing can ever make it better of what I did, I told her that." Danny said trying to calm Rafe.

As Danny was saying this Rafe wasn't listening to him he was staring at the ambulances and the fire brigade making its way to Bettys house where Nancie was.

"Rafe what are you staring at?" Danny questioned as he turned where to Rafe was looking and they both started sprinting off.

"Nancie!" They both screamed as they tried to get into the house.

"I'm sorry but you can't go in there we will get her out." The fire man said "No she's my sister!" Rafe shouted in the mans face.

Whilst everyone was occupied, Danny went into the house to find Nancie. As Danny walked in further, he heard coughing and walked closer to it and thankfully it was Nancie.

"Nancie!" Danny shouted and ran to her and picked her up. "D-Danny?" Nancie stuttered trying not to black out.

"It's ok I'm gonna get you outta here just don't fall asleep." Danny said kissing her head. "Why are you in here?" Danny asked.

"I thought Betty was in here and I couldn't let her die she is engaged!" Nancie said.

"Nancie you could've died I can't live without you! Don't scare me like that again!" Exclaimed Danny moving a piece of rubble out of the way and covering Nancies face.

"I know but I had to make sure she wasn't in here!" Nancie said coughing. She was trying to keep her eyes open and not fall asleep but she was to tired.

The last thing she heard was Danny shouting her name.

Nancie woke up to the beeping sound of the heat monitor that was attached to her. She then realised that she was in the hospital and Danny was sleeping on a chair next to her.

"Danny." Nancie whispered. "Nancie your awake!" Danny said happily jumping up from his seat.

"Did you stay here all night?" Nancie questioned.
"Stayed here everyday to make sure you was alright." Danny said shyly holding Nancies hand.

"Thank you but you didn't have to!" Nancie said.

Minuets of science passed and she remembered her baby and how she hasn't told Danny yet, but she couldn't tell him like this. The doctors knew Nancie was pregnant Rafe told the doctors and thankfully they didn't mention it to Danny yet.

"D-Danny?." She stuttered, hands shaking. "What wrong?" He asked holding her shaking hands.

"How long was I asleep? Is Rafe alright!" Nancie started to get worried and the heart monitor was beeping faster and faster.

"Hey hey it's ok! you was out for a week and Rafe is ok he's just worried about you he came over this morning but had to leave." Danny said grabbing her shoulders, and then stroking her head which made Nancie calm down.

"So are you feeling ok? Nothing is hurting is it?" Danny asked wanting to make sure Nancie was ok. "Yeah I'm fine don't worry Danny." Nancie said smiling although she was hurting but didn't want to worry Danny but he could tell she was lying and said

"You don't have to lie to me just tell Nancie." He sighed. "Ok sorry it hurts but it will be fine can I go to sleep now I'm really tired." Nancie said yawing trying to change the conversation "Yeah I'll be here when you wake up." Danny said lying down in his chair.

"No Danny come and lay with me please." Nancie said with puppy dog eyes holding her hands out.
"Are you sure I don't want to hurt you." Danny said and Nancie nodded "ok fine."

Danny laughed again at how easy he gives in to Nancie all the time. But what can he do he's in love.

Danny go into the bed with Nancie and carefully wrapped his arms around be making sure not to hurt her. "Am I hurting you?"Danny whispered into Nancies ear. "No it's fine." Nancie said yawning again "goodnight Danny I Love you."

Danny was shocked he didn't know if she meant it because she was on pain killers but thought to ask in the morning instead.

"Goodnight Nancie I love you too." and with that they both fell asleep in eachovers arms.
