Chapter 26

Its been 2 years since Nancie had given birth and she and Danny couldn't be happier.

They finally had their wedding with their kids as the ring bearers, Sandra Betty as bridesmaids, Gooze and Eveyln as best man and maid of honour and Rafe walked Nancie down the isle giving her away. It was only a small ceremony, Nancie and Danny didn't want anything extravagant, they didn't need to their life was already perfect.

Here they are now with a 2 year old Danny and Amelia. They had changed so much since birth Amelia's hair had turned curly and Danny's hair had gotten darker just like his fathers.

They are both Daddy's kids but they admire him and Nancie in a way. Always trying to get in the planes and playing with Nancie's nurses equipment.

As the war ended, everything in the harbour was perfect. It was so beautiful and bright, just like Nancie imagined when she was a little girl.
Instead of moving away like they planned, Nancie and Danny decided to stay in Pearl Harbour so they can still have their jobs that they love and let their kids grow up in one of the most historical places.

It's called golden hour. The first hour of light after a sunrise or the last hour of light before a sunset. The sun has called behind the clouds and left a tint in the sky behind. A tint that could only be compared to the golden wheat which farmers grew or the feeling when one finds the person they are truly meant for.

A single farmhouse stood alone in a field of wheat (one of the best places in the harbour). The sky was aureate and the sun was slowing disappearing. A little boy and girl playing among the stalks of the wheat. Both their arms was stretched wide, as far as they could go, as they buzzed their lips together both pretending to be planes. Behind them their dad chasing them weaving through the tall wheat.

Nancie smiled as she watched her twins come running to her. They gripped each of the legs as they attempted to hide from their dad. Danny looked up at Nancie and smiled before he scooped them both up.

The twins both giggled as their dad placed them on each hip. Danny placed a sweet kiss on both of their heads then turned to Nancie and did the same to her forehead and they both started walking together. Nancie leaned into Danny as the little boy and girl wrapped their arms around their dads neck.

The family watched how the beautiful sunset melted away. Danny smiled before he turned back to his twins.

"How'd ya like to go flyin?"

Both the twins fussed and giggled as their dad set them down. They pointed to the plane standing alone in the green grass and looked up to their mum. Nancie nodded and smiled. The couple turned to watch the twins run around the plane. Nancie wrapped her arms around Danny's waist as she stood behind him.

"Daddy."They called out at the same time.

Danny turned to Nancie and quickly kissed her on the lips before he ran to the twins. He lifted Danny and Amelia into the plane. Dejavu hit her as she saw Danny and his father walking though the tall wheat year ago. Then she saw Danny and her children walking thought the tall grass towards the plane.

"I love you."Nancie whispered before she chased after her children.
