**Copied from my original book; this was a request by @logical_mysteries. Hammie and Asher spend a romantic evening at a fancy restaurant in London. No warnings.

Asher Wing had parked his wheelchair right next to the sand-colored sofa in the living room of Roshan and Tremaine's studio apartment. He and his girlfriend, Hamilton Jiminez, had decided to stay with their friends in the West End of London for the weekend. From where he was sitting, he could see Roshan and Tremaine in the kitchen preparing dinner for themselves. Asher and Hammie had another plans.
From the guest bedroom where they were staying, Hammie walked out wearing a sleeveless chiffon dress the color of wisteria in the spring. Her tightly-curled strands of dark hair were twisted into a bun.
Asher's lips curled into a smile once he saw her. "Hi, there," he said, grinning as she pressed her lips to his. Of course, Hammie wasn't the only one dressed for the occasion. Asher was wearing a black suit, with a tie that matched the color of Hammie's dress.
"Have you decided where our journey will lead us tonight?" Hammie asked with a curious smile, sitting down on the couch. The couple had been planning to use one night of their excursion as a date night.
Asher grinned and nodded. "I found a restaurant right in London called Clos Maggiore!" he said proudly. "It's right on King Street."
"Clos Maggiore?" Roshan called from the kitchen, shamelessly eavesdropping. "I heard that that place is expensive as hell."
"I'll manage," Ash responded. "Besides," he added, gaze moving back to Hammie as he took her hand. "It's worth it."
Hammie blushed.
"We should get going," Asher said, checking the watch on his wrist. "You ready?"
"Mmhm," Hammie nodded, standing up as Asher pushed his wheelchair towards the front door.
"Have a good time, lovebirds!" Tremaine called from the kitchen. The couple headed out the door into the crisp summer evening.

The couple were seated at a table in Clos Maggiore. The restaurant seemed to have its own welcoming presence, in all of its regal, fancy glory. The flames of candelabras flickered at each table, adorning the rooms with a warm glow.
Both Ash and Hammie had ordered glasses of champagne. "To us," announced Asher, holding the sparkling glass up in the air in a toast. "And to being in love."
Hammie's loving smile outshone the candles' light as her glass clinked with Asher's.
This evening was going to be a good evening. But the good would be derived, not from the expensive champagne or the fancy attire, but from the smaller things. Fingers intertwining. Shared smiles and kisses. A toast to one another's love. A starlit sky and a candlelit evening with the one either person loved the most. That was where the truest value would lie.
