I watched in joy as Natsuki, Otoya and Masato were practicing their dance for the assessment. They all danced with grace and I couldn't help but smile. Haruka-chan and Tomo-chan were off together practicing, so it was just the four of us.
"How was our dancing?"
I shook out of my thoughts to look up at my giant blonde friend. Otoya was just behind him stretching, while Masato was looking at the academy building.
"The test is next week. I hope we can pass..."
Otoya stopped his stretching to look at me, as he voiced his worries. In response to their questions, I smiled widely and leaned forward. "It was wonderful! You got my toes tapping! I'm the sure the test will turn out fine!" Otoya raised a hand to Natsuki while cheering. "All right!"
"No, you've got still a ways to go. Your rhythm strays too far from the beat. That's a long way from perfection."
I sweatdropped a bit at Hijirikawa-san's harsh words, scratching the back of my neck sheepishly. Otoya and Natsuki merely looked at him, sweat rolling down the back of their heads. They turned back to face me, heads down. "Well, that's..." Otoya drawled out, while Natsuki tried to sooth the conversation. "Let's be careful about the tempo." Otoya mumble in disbelief at the situation. "Yeah." As the three of them continued their conversation, I heard the sounds of girl's shrieking and squealing not too far away.
"Really?! Ren-sama! That's why you're a celebrity! How dreamy!"
I blinked once. Then twice, twisting my head to look at the open corridors to my left. To my surprise, I watched Jinguji-san stroll down them, quite a few girls following after him.
"It was such a beautiful rose, that I brought the whole rose garden. You see, I thought I'd give it to someone as a present."
I watched in shock as the many girls behind him started shrieking and squealing again. A few of them even going as far as to reach out for the rose and shout their pleas.
"P-Please give it to me!"
"Give it to me, Ren-sama!"
"I will, if you sweep me off my feet."
Curling my lip up in disbelief, Otoya, Natsuki and I stared blankly at the scene near us. I cocked my head to the side a little, confused as to what the male meant. My train of thought didn't last long though, as the girls' squeals got louder. I breathed out in awe. "Only he could get away with a line like that." Otoya started from beside me. "Ren Jinguji... The goddess of love must be fond of him." Natsuki sighed, shaking his head slightly.
"Nonsense. Come on, let's start."
I gasped as Hijirikawa-san just dismissed the situation happening in front of us like it wasn't even there. I guess he never did seem fond of Jinguji-san whenever I've seen them together. Maybe it's a past thing? Pushing away my thoughts, I hurriedly crouched down beside the stereo player. "From the beginning, right?" Hijirikawa-san came over to me as I did, taking the spot beside me as he chose the timing he wanted. "No. From the third phrase, if you would... From here. I want to properly take advantage of this opportunity." He pointed out the spot that he wanted me to start at on the sheet, his eyes boring into mine. I gave him a closed-eye smile, reaching my fingers out to press rewind on the stereo.
I was stopped though, by a smooth voice cutting into the conversation. "Oh? When did you become so cozy with the Little Kitten? Hijirikawa?" Masato-san stood up, as Jinguji-san made his way over to our group, sniffing the rose as he waited for a response. Masato-san just gave him a cold look, as I watched up in confusion. "Ever since we met, she and I have been tied together by fate." I blinked quizzically. Tied together by fate? I didn't have long to question, before Ren-san was in front of me, pulling me up by my wrist. I stumbled into his chest, his arm securing itself around my waist.
