That was random, to say the least. There were loads of different questions, varying from just opinion based to completely insane comprehension questions. How am I meant to know if that went well? Sighing to myself, I gazed out one of the many corridor windows. It was raining heavily. At least I had the umbrella that that gingerette gave me. That reminds me, I never got his name. Thinking hard, I didn't realise the wind was picking up as I walked through the stormy weather outside. Unfortunately for me, this meant the umbrella and my skirt started moving. Why did I decide to wear a skirt in winter? I continued walking, before I felt the umbrella get ripped from my hands. "Nooo!" I tried chasing after it, but being small wasn't exactly a helpful factor in this situation. "Please." I begged, reaching out to grab the handle, before I slipped on the top step. Since when were there stairs here? I closed my eyes in hope that there's was something that would stop my descent down the hard stairs. Luckily, there was. I felt an arm slither itself around my waist and soon I was hoisted up. "Are you alright miss?" An unfamiliar voice asked from above me. Opening my eyes, I peered up to see a navy-blue haired male giving me a half-concerned look. "Umm. Thank you." I tried bowing, but instead just fell further into the man's chest. God was this embarrassing. "I believe this is yours?" He coughed, pulling an object from his other hand towards me. "My umbrella! Thank you so much... Umm..." He offered me a stern face. "Tokiya Ichinose." I nodded, smiling softly at him. "Thank you Ichinose-san." Instead of attempting to bow again, I just continued smiling at Ichinose-san as he helped me up. "Thank you again Ichinose-san." Closing my eyes in delight, I missed him giving me a small smile of his own. "(Y/n)!" A loud voice distrupted our peaceful moment. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you! How was your exam?!" Otoya sprinted towards us, being careful as not to slip on anything like I did. "Otoya!" I exclaimed happily, feeling any embarrassment I still had, dissipate. The redhead pulled me into a hug, before noticing the man beside us. "Who's he?" He asked out loud. I whacked his arm lightly. "Sorry sorry! I'm Otoya Ittoki nice to meet you! Any friend of (y/n)'s is a friend of mine!" He smiled enthusiastically at Ichinose-san, placing his hand out in front of the taller male. Ichinose-san hesitated, before finally returning the gesture. "Tokiya Ichinose." He spoke, retrieving his hand as soon as the greetings were over. Otoya looked a bit skeptical, but kept grinning nonetheless. "I'm going to be an idol! What are you entering for?" He questioned, probably trying to lighten the mood. "Idol Course." Wow. He really doesn't speak much. Not that I can blame him really though. I was just as overwhelmed when Otoya first started talking to me. "Cool! Maybe you'll get to sing some of (y/n)'s awesome songs with me as well!" I blushed. "O...Otoya!" I stumbled over my words, hiding behind my (h/c) hair. I heard him chuckle, as a strong arm was placed over my shoulders. "Don't be shy (n/n)! You're songs are always wonderful!" Trying not to let my face go any redder, I bowed clumsily to Ichinose-san, hoping to make this embarrassing conversation go quicker. "Thank you once again Ichinose-san. We'll be taking our leave now. Goodbye." Letting out a small smile, I dragged Otoya with me, not giving the stoic male time to say anything back to us. "Hey (y/n)! You never answered my question! How did your exam go?" My best friend inquired, nudging my shoulder lightly. I shrugged softly. "I don't think I can answer that properly Otoya. It was rather peculiar to say the least, but I guess that's what sets Saotome Academy away from other music schools. It's just so brilliantly different. Overall though, I think I tried my hardest and hopefully it will be enough to get in!" I grew more and more excited as my sentence neared its end. Otoya chuckled. "I've never heard you so excited for anything. It's nice seeing you like this (y/n)." I felt my face heat up. "Hey! That was uncalled for! Besides!... You look just as happy as me. Maybe even more so!" Otoya kept on laughing as we made our way out the school and back onto the main paths. "I hope we both pass!" He pumped a fist into the air, using his other hand to grip my shoulder tightly. "Yeah!"
Was that better? I think that was a pretty good chapter, all things considered. I'm rather proud of our encounter with Tokiya. Who will Reader-san meet next? I've already got a rough idea on what I want the story to look like, but it's getting everything in the right order that's hard. Hopefully it will live up to your expectations. Much love,
