Chapter 2: The Hunt

Kyle:* gets done getting dress and heads downstair3s to grab some food*  hey there u are ali. So how's the food production. Ali: well, where at 34% now. Where doing a hunt in a bit......HEY! I know. Why don't you join us. I'm sure you would be of help. Kyle: I mean....I guess so. Come on, let's go upstaires. * heads up into his room as Ali follows*. Kyle: you can sit on the bed. Ill sit on the floor. Ali: wow. Such a gentlemen.*giggles*. Kyle: you prefer that I say, hey why don't you sit on the floor while my ass is nice and comfortable on this soft bed of mine. Ali: you really are sarcastic huh. Must have gotten that from your mom huh. Kyle: * looks up at ali*. Ali: oh my god...im sorry I..I didn't mean that. Ughhh. Kyle: its okay. Ahem. You know...my mom, she was the best mom out there. She was always caring, loving, my bestfreind haha. *sigh*. Anyway, what about you. Where's your mom? Ali:....We got separated after the whole explosion. Its been me and my dad ever since. Kyle: sorry to hear that. I'm sure we'll find her one day. Ali: thanks. You know Kyle, your the only boy in this prison thats actully nice to me. Im kinda growing on you. Kyle:...eat your food before it gets cold hehe. Ali: right. Well after where done let's head out and meet Jordan. He's the lead of the hunting party. Kyle: oh great. So not only do I have to share the same living space but he's my leader in a hunting party. I think I was best living on my own. Heh. Ali: oh hush. He's not bad. Just a tough guy. But like I said, his heart is in the right place. *about 5 min later and they finish thier food*. Kyle: ahhhh. That hit the spot. Havnt had a hot meal since....well 4 years ago. Alright let's go. Make sure you let your dad know. Ali: He knows. Now come on.* runs out the room while dragging Kyle along with her*. Jordan:*outside the prison gate with his crew*. Okay now listen her you maggots. We're going on a hunt. Its the same as everyday. We look, we find, we kill. Whats are number one rule. Javi: Always find an exit before entering. Jordan: exactly. Now.....aren't we missing. Ali: HEY WAITT UP JORDAN. Jordan: For the love of God. Why are you always late. *sees Kyle behind her*. Ahh. Makes sense. Well anyway. You know the deal. Lets split up. I'll take you guys with me. Javier why don't you go with Ali and Kyle since you know more of the area. Javi: sure thing. Jordan: alright move out. And if anything happens. We have talkies. * Jordan and his team goes one way as Kyle and his team goes the other*. Kyle: so where exactly are we going?. Javi: this abandon hospital. There going to find food. Meanwhile we need supplies. Kyle: Right well just so you know, its not going to be easy. With....the...zombies around. Javi: The muertos?. We havnt seen one in some time to be honest. Kyle: Well I guess your about to get your wish.  Ali: hey Kyle?. Kyle: yeah what's up. Ali: im not good around zombies. Kyle: Hey don't worry. I'll make sure nothing happens to you. I promise. Ali:*smiles*. Javi: aye. Give me a break. Kyle: I think I see it. Is that it up ahead?. Javi: No...thats.. what is that?.* pulls out his binoculars to see*. Thats an army base.. but thier only tents. Just temporary set ups. Kyle: seems logical. Should we check it out. Javi: stay here. I'll go make sure no muertos are around or anything else. * heads down the hill into the military camp*. Ali: hey Kyle. I wanted to tell you something. Kyle: yeah what's up. Ali: im starting to like you. Like really like you. Kyle:* turns to ali*. You mean, like...dating kinda like me?. Ali: yeah. I mean I know its probably not the right time to do stuff like this. Kyle:........Ali. I like you too. But let's focus on that more later, right now we need to focus on getting the supplies we need and getting home safe. Everyone safe. Ali: yeah your right. I'm sorry. Kyle:* grabs her shoulder*. Hey hey. I like you alot okay. But we shouldn't get distracted on what matters right now. If we're to get attack and something happens. There's no liking anyone. Ali: okay. Lets focus then. * then the walkie talkie goes off*. Javi: hey guys. Its clear down here. Your good to come down. Kyle: alright let's go. * grabs her hand and they both head down to javi*. Kyle: you see anything while searching?. Javi: just some medkits and canned food. Thats it. The abandon hospital should be about 5 min from here, so let's not waste anytime before it hits sundown. Kyle: yeah good call. Last thing we need is a hunter to be on us. Javi: a what?. Kyle: a hunter. Zombie hunter. Javi: what kind of zombie are we talking?. Kyle: well, this type of zombie has long ass nails. Sharp as a rock. Could tear you into shreds if possible. Javi: Do you have just a diary around or something haha. Kyle: actully I do. * pulls out his zombie journal*. Javi: What...in the world..will look at this later. Lets get a move on. * they all make it to the hospital in just 5 min*. Kyle: we can always turn back.* staring at the hospital*. Javi: don't be a chicken now.* then javis talkie goes off*. Jordan: ja....javi.* breathing heavily*. Javi: * everyone looks at eachother*. Yeah bud whats up. Jordan: im sorry man...i....I tried to save them all. I just couldn't.   Damn it!  Javi: hey hey. Slow down. What happened. Jordan: we were looking in this tunnel. Not to far from the prison, just south of it. We went into it and found nothing. But next thing you know we turn around and there's a herd of zombies just coming in from the entrance. We got most of them but then there was...* gets quiet*. Javi: Jordan? JORDAN!. Jordan: its back...the weird zombie with the long claws...oh my God help me. * walkie cuts off*. Javi: okay new plan. I'm going to head back to the prison and gather some men. Then I'm headed off to his position. Kyle: me and Ali will continue searching here. Good luck. Javi: protect her with your life. Kyle: always. * javi heads off*. Ali: i hope he's okay. Kyle: listen. Hell be fine. Hell get him back in one piece, don't worry. Let's head in and see what we can find. * they both head and as 20 min past they have searched 2 floors*. Kyle: we got all we can carry. Its been awhile since javi has said anything. You think-. Kyle: he's fine Ali, im sure his walkie just died or whatever.....shh wait a min.....get down. * footsteps can be heard walking towards them and then a little boy comes from behind the corner*. Kyle: uh....hey there...you okay?. * the little boy looks up at ali and then runs to her and hugs her*. Ali: hey its okay. Your safe now...what's your name. Aiden: Aiden. Ali: well your safe now. We have a village not far from here okay. We were heading out anyways. * they all make it outside the building and head to the prison. They finnaly make it there*. Avery: ALI! Thank the heavens your okay. Javi told me everything. Ali: im fine dad. Don't worry. Kyle: javi? where is he?. Avery: he went to the tunnel where jordans group went. Kyle: shit. Okay Ali stay here with Aiden. I'll be back.* picks up a grenade and some guns*. Ali: your going alone!. You can't. You'll be killed. Kyle: Im not just gonna sit here and let my freinds be murder when I can do something about it. I'm sorry. I'll be fine. I been doing this for 4 years alone remember. Ali:* puts her head down and starts crying*. Avery: oh? Kyle:*walks up to her and hugs her*. I'll be okay I promise. Just please look after Aiden while I'm gone. Okay?.* wipes her tears from her face*. Ali:*sniffles*. I will. You better come back. Kyle: always do. * runs off towards the tunnel*. Avery: you got to marry him. Ali: dad not the time. * 20 mintues later he makes it inside the tunnel*. Javi? Jordan?. Javi: Kyle?. Over here. Kyle: * runs over to javi*. Jordan!. Hey man hang in there. Jordan: *bodys all slashed up from the hunter and many puncture wounds in his chest*. Listen, im not going to make it....I tried my best....to hold it off. Kyle: hey man your fine, your gonna be okay dammit. Just stop talking. Jordan: KYLE!. We know how this ends. Just...please don't let me turn. * hands Kyle his handgun*. Kyle: no....no im not doing this.  Javi:*gets up and walks away*. Dammit.  Kyle: im not shooting you. No way. Your gonna get up and walk back with us. Your going to be fine. Jordan: and here....I thought you were another selfish asshole. Take this* digs in his pocket and hands Kyle his necklace*. Give this.....to my sister. Her names....* coughs*. Is Claire. Kyle:* grabs it then stands uo*. I won't forget you Jordan. * points the gun to his head*. Jordan: and..........one last thing. Kyle: what is it. Jordan: the nuke....was.....plann-. Kyle: jordan..........jordan......Goodbye. * cocks the gun back*. Javi: Wait a sec. WAIT KYLE NO!. Kyle:* pulls the trigger as the bullet penetrates through Jordans skull*. Kyle: what?. Javi:* points to the hunter thats standing in front of the entrance*. Kyle:* looks behind him and sees a room*. GO IN THAT ROOM NOW!* they both run into the room just seconds before the hunter gets them*. Shit shit shit. Now what. Kyle: another thing to note. A hunter that catches eye of its prey will not leave until killed. Javi: oh great so where stuck here. So where gonna die regardless. Kyle: hey. HEY!. Where not gonna die. I have a plan. Javi: good let's hear it. Kyle: *stares at the grenade*. This is going to sound crazy. But it'll work trust me. Where going to blow up the tunnel. Javi: im sorry, I must have woke up this morning and chose not to hear. Can you repeat that. Kyle: shut the hell up and listen. Its our only plan. We survive and it doesn't. We all go home happy. Javi:  jordans dead. How does that involve him being happy. Kyle: *grabs his shoulder*  because where going to make it out...for him. Well do it for him. Now listen. I'll have the grenade, you'll bolt towards the entrance and wait there. Meanwhile I'll distract it the opposite way and get its attention. Onece it tries to jump at me or attack it. I'll move out the way, start running, drop the grenade and run like there's no tommorow. Javi:.... that could actully work. Kyle: it will. You ready? Javi:* cocks gun*. Yeah. Kyle: lets go. * kicks down the door and starts yelling*. Hey ugly. Yeah you. You need a pedicure. On the house. I can see your in desperate need of that, come on. Its free. * the hunter makes its way over to Kyle as javi sneaks around it and heads for the entrance*. Kyle: yeah that's right. You want those things cut huh. * the hunter starts to run at Kyle then jumps*. * pulls out his gun and shoots it in the head as it falls to the ground*. Time to go. * starts running as the hunter gets back up*. Here goes nothing.  * pulls the pin and drops the grenade*. Javi:* at the entrance*.  COME ON KYLE RUN, HURRY UP YOU CAN DO IT GO! GO! GO!. Kyle: AHHHHHHHHHHHH. * the grenade goes off and explodes causing  the hunter to burst into flames, then the wave of flames heads towards the entrance*. Kyle: come on come on come on. Javi: ALMOST THERE LETS GOOOOO!. Kyle: ahhhhhhhhhhh.* finnaly makes it to the entrance and jumps to the side as the explosion bursts through the tunnel and out into the air*. Kyle:* on the ground out of breath*. Ha...HAHAHAHAHAAH. Javi: Hahahahahaha. We...where alive. We actully did it. Your a life savor. Ill never forget it. Kyle: I just have reasons to stay alive. * gets up and helps javi up*. How bout we head home. * then part of the hunters arm falls in front of kyle*. Kyle: yeah...good riddance. * crushes it with his feet and grabs one of its claws*. Science purposes. Lets go. * 15 min later they make it back*. * someone yells, hey there back*. Ali: DAD THERE BACK!*Runs outside and into kyles arms*. Kyle:* grabs her*. Told ya. Javi: man it was like nothing I ever seen .  This guy...saved my ass. Kyle: we did it together. Javi: well thanks to you. I get to live another day with my wife and kids. Kyle: Ali. Listen-..*Ali kisses him*. Kyle:* shocked*. What-. Ali: Thats for scaring me. *punches his arm*. And that's for bringing him home. Avery: I believe i owe you one. Kyle: no need. I jyst know how to survive. Avery: from here on out, you will be our new hunter. * Everyone chants. New hunter! New hunter! New hunter!. Kyle: ( you know living alone for 4 years was once okay to me....for awhile. But then I met Ali, and the rest of her people. It gave me another reason to keep fighting. To keep going and never stop. Because if I do. Who's going to help these people. Each day that goes by I learn something new. I lose someone. But its never in vain. With each growing day I get stronger. And now I'm working on a cure. But I won't forget about the search for my brother. It'll be on hold for now. * in the bed with Ali and Aiden sleeping*. ( its not so bad. For once it feels like a normal life. But thats all about to change. As my dad once said, life.....is full of surprises).
