Chapter 4: Flashback

* 4 years ago*. Jamal: So you're saying moms not going to be in untill 12 at night? Kyle: Yeah sorry man..but hey your favorite business company is on.*tv turns to the Jager company*. Jager: We are proud to introduce our new Home Rocket, itll change the future and help us make Mars livable. * noise in the background*. What....your saying it failed. Ahem. We are experiencing some technical difficulties with our engi-.* Booom. At this time the nuke has exploded*. Oh God. Everyone down to the va-. * the TV shuts off*. Jamal: im going to call mom. Kyle:* runs outside*. What the hell?. * sees the mushroom cloud in the distance*. Jamal:* starts to run outside*. KYLE!. Kyle:*runs inside and pushes Jamal in*. Go inside now dammit. Its a damn nuke. * pushes him in the fridge*. No matter, what I love you little brother. Jamal: Kyle wait!. Kyle:* closes the fridge then goes outside*. Jamal:* breathing heavy*. Was that a nuke. No way. Where dead right. Kyle: * sees the blast wave coming towards him*. Where dead. Jamal:*The wave reaches them and then BANNNG, CRASH, BOOOM!*. * moments later Jamal wakes up*. Jamal: ughhh...my head..am i....alive. * opens the fridge door and steps out into absolute chaos*. What the hell. *looking around as nothing is standing*. Kyle....no. I must have gotten blown really far. I don't even know where I'm at. * sees a car heading towards him and eventually reaches him*. ???: Hey kid you hurt. Jamal: Just banged up.  John: Why don't you come back with us. We can get that looked at. Jamal: That would be great. John: The names John. Jamal: Jamal. John: Listen, we were all lucky to survive. This guy we have in our group. He's a nerd. Butttt, because of him building a 20 year vault, we survived. Come on. * so they a get in the car and ride to the campsite*. John: heye everyone, this is Jamal, he's gonna be with us for a little while. Jamal: hello. *everyone looks and then goes back to doing whatever*. Tough crowd. John: They all lost...recently. Jamal: ahhh. John: im going to run some errands. Why don't you get....acquainted. * leaves*. Jamal:* kneels down next to this woman crying over her sick husband*. Hey, what happen to him. Lady: when the explosion happen he consumed the radiation in the air and got really sick. Jamal: I might have something that could work. I made it in my moms lab. I knew what I was making. But its a long shot right. Lady: yeah okay. Let's do it. Hey baby, this nice man has something for you to drink. It'll make you feel better. Jamal:* feeds the bottle to the guy*. Okay, if all goes well he should be good by tonight. Here's hoping. Lady: Thank you so much. Jamal: no problem.  * looking around then goes inside one of the tent*. Lady:* half naked getting dressed*. Jamal: oh my god....I am so sorry* turns around*. I...um...I didn't see anything. June: its okay. I'm done. The names June. Not sure I've seen you before. Jamal: Im Jamal. I was just looking around. June: well since you already made this awkward, why don't you come with me. Jamal: Where too?. June: there's a police station not to far from here. It still might have some weapons if we get there quick enough. Belive it or not, but there's zombies among us. Jamal: hahaha. Funny. June: im not kidding. My boyfriend died protecting me. Sacrificed himself so I could make it to the vault. Jamal: im so sorry....I didn't know. So its true. The explosion. Cause zombies to arise. June: yeah so let's go. No time to waste. Jamal: right.

* 4 years later*.

Jamal:* wakes up and sees June still sleeping next to him*. * gets off the bed and heads outside where his right hand man is*. Jamal: Hey alon, couldn't sleep huh. Alon: I was just thinking. I know we were able to grow across the land and stuff.  But what about the spot of the explosion. You said it yourself the other day, that radiation could help. Jamal: look. That day of the explosion. That bottle that i gave you. It was infected with radiation. But for some reason the chemicals mixed with the rads and purified it. You got lucky. But thanks to that, we really prospered. Alon: yeah. Well I'm going for another run. Catch you later?. Jamal: Yeah. * alon heads off*. June:* wakes up*. Hey honey. Jamal: oh your up. Sorry if I woke you. I was just talking to alon. June: I heard. You know, we don't have to keep expanding. Where already big enough. Even if the Mercenarys came back they wouldn't stand a chance. Jamal: im making a world safe for you....and our daughter. And I will not rest until that is sought out. June:* walks up to him and kisses him*. I already feel safe. * the talkie on Jamals stand goes off*. John: hey Jamal, June, ima need you guys down here. Asap. Jamal:....im sure its fine. Why don't you stay here and watch the baby. June: you sure?. Jamal: Yeah babe its fine. June: be careful. Jamal: Always am. * heads down the stairs and then into the front lobby*. John: June?. Jamal: Sleeping. You got me. Whats up. John: We have a problem. And ots right outside this gate. You know those metal spikes we put up last week?. Jamal: Yeah what about them. John: Look. * brings him outside the gate*. Jamal:* looks at the metal spikes as all of them are melted to the ground*. What the hell?. Do you know what could cause this?. John: im not sure. But if I had to guess, I'd say its a new type of zombie. Or a new weapon our enemy has made. Jamal: call in a safety search around the perimeter and inside. Just to be safe. Make sure no one got in. I'm going to further out and see if I can't find anything about this....problem. * heads out into the woods*. What could have done that....no possible way our enemy has some type of weapon that can melt metal. * after a while searching he hears a couple voices and decides to follow them which ends up him hiding in a bush*. Man: So what. We just sit here and wait for him to kick our ass. Lady: No you dumbass. We leave now. We report to Mr.Jager and let him know that we have enough people to raid Jamals village. Now come on lets go. Jamal: Jager. * starts to move backwards and steps on a stick making a loud noise*. Man:*turns towards Jamal direction*. HEY!. I KNOW YOUR THERE. Come out and we won't hurt you. Jamal:* comes out the bush with his hand up*. Man: hahah. Jamal. Well the boss will like this all right. Come on. I'm pretty sure you just heard our conversation, so where taking you to our boss. I'm sure he will be delighted to see you. Jamal:* looks back then starts walking with them to thier base*. Jager: alright Kyle. Why don't you head off now. I'm sure your people will be worried. Kyle: wait how did you-. Jager: Kyle, come on. Your not a loner type. Maybe for the past 4 years yes. But I know a bullshiter when I see one. Now get. Kyle:* heads out and just mintues before leaving Jamal comes in*. Jager: HA!. What a coincidence.  Jamal: What. Jager:.....nothing. so what ever do I owe the pleasure. Man: we caught him sneaking in a bush over hearing our conversation about the raid attack. Jager: ahhh. My boy Jamal. Normally I would kill any witnesses. But I like you. And I also made a promise to your mother if I ever found you two. To keep you safe. Jamal: wait. My moms alive?. Jager: why yes ofc my dear child. But she's all the way in California. Ever since the blast. The sight of this place was too much. Mind you the thought of both of you dead was too much of a burden. But yes. Shes alive. Jamal: I knew it. Jager: alright now. Just go on back to your place and don't say a word. Just survive when the attack does happen. Ta ta. Jamal: yeah see ya. * heads out back to his village*. Man: sir?. Jager: don't worry, he's gonna tell them anyway. Just get ready. Well give Them a week. * eventually Jamal makes it back to the village where John is awaiting him*. John: oh thank the heavens. We thought something had happen. Jamal: im good. How's everything here. John: Up to date. What about the melted metal problem. Jamal: I'll go deal with it now. There's only one place to start looking. John: you don't mean-. Jamal: Yeah. The Graveyard. John: That place is infested, you can't possibly go by yourself. You'll be killed. Jamal: another reason why I should go alone. Trust me..ill be back. Just watch over my wife while I'm gone. John: alright. Good luck. Be careful. Jamal: Always am. * heads off to the graveyard*. If there's one place to start looking. Which im hoping there's no zombies that can do such a thing. But I guess where about to find out. * makes it to the graveyard but sees that its completely empty*. That's strange. Why is there no zombies around. * keeps looking around and sees that every metal posting has been melted*. * he then stumbles upon a stone pillar with his mom's name on it. Only the last name was not the same*. Jamal: Hang in there mom. * moments later a lady comes walking out the woods and kneels next to a gravstone*. Huh....must be a dead relative she knew. Or just someone in general. * just watching*. * all of a sudden the wall behind her containing the coffins start melting. The wall melts down as the substance from the wall drips to the floor. A leg comes out from the wall, and then the rest of the body. It was another zombie*. The hell. Must be that melted metal zombie. * continues to watch, as the Lady is clueless of whats behind her the zombie grabs her shoulder*. Lady:* pulls away as her skin on her shoulder starts to melt away*. Jamal: The hell did that thing just do. * the lady starts screaming and begging for help as she is too shocked to move. Then the zombie lunges at her grabbing her whole body as her entire body starts to melt away leaving just the Skeleton*. Jamal:* covering his mouth so he doesn't puke and make noise*. What......what the hell. * moments later it eats the Skeleton*. Jamal: What is this monster. * then just seconds after that it spits up the remains in a puddle of acid then the zombie vanishes*. Jamal:* utterly terrified he then gets up and runs back to his village*.  * everyone sees Jamal in terror as he reaches the front gates*. John:* runs to him*. Hey Jamal, what the hell happen? Jamal:* breathing heavily*. The....the Graveyard is off limits. John: Jamal, bro what's going on. Jamal: i figured out the problem of the melting. Its a zombie. John: dammit. I knew it. Jamal: Thats not all. There was this women. She was paying her respects to her loved ones I guess. Then the wall behind her just melted a hole in it. And the...thing came out. It killed her, after melting her entire skin off her body. Its like....he can melt through any type of metal...like nitric acid....nitric. thats what well call him. Nitric. EVERYONE COME HERE NOW. VILLAGE MEETING. * Everyone gathers around*. Now listen, I've just encountered a new zombie. An acid type zombie. I'm calling thier type nitric. Hopefully its just him. The Graveyard is off limits. No one enters there. No matter what. Also that's not all. Where going to be raided. I'm not sure when, but we need to be prepared when it happens. John: What should we do. Jamal: grab a team and start the defenses, and another team for the offense. Ill go resolve this matter for nitric. This needs to be dealt with now before it hurts anyone else. Lets go. Get to work. * everyone does thier own thing as Jamal heads to his lab*. Okay. So acid. Obviously the only thing that comes to mind is steel aloy. Or any type of nickle or aluminum. Time to get to work.
