"We can. Those people that work there... are murderers. You'll see some... messed up shit." Xavier sipped his coffee. "But if you're willing to go...don't blame me for mental scarring and I won't pay for your therapy." Taking a final sip of his coffee, Xavier said, "Midnight. Don't be late."

When it hit 11:25 I called my friends. Leona said she'd call Bianca for me, so I just called Harper. We met in a parking lot that Xavier was already in. "You ready?" He had yet another coffee. It took half an hour to reach the place, so it was now 11:56.

"It's a 23-minute walk from here. Make sure no one is following us, and stay quiet." Xavier said in a hushed tone.

We reached the building 20 minutes later. The building was huge in person.

Xavier's POV

"There's a back entrance, no one uses it, and there's a vent in the roof. There's only one security camera. Since we're such a big group we need to split up. Leona, Bianca, and Harper go to the back entrance. Jaspar and I will go the roof. And...here." I handed Leona the remote.

"What's...this?" She asked while examining the remote.

"It's the remote that...separates Xander from my body. It hurts like hell. But it's for protection." Xander was being oddly quiet.

Xander? Are you good?

I don't want to go in there. And I never agreed to separation! It hurts for me too!

I know. But it's only once, and who knows if they'll even use it.

...fine.

Jaspar and I climbed up the rickety old rusted ladder to the roof. Of course, there was a vent like I said. I opened it, or more like melted it. What? There's a demon in my head. Demon powers are acquired.

We dropped down onto a staircase that connected to a door that was blocked off. There were the too familiar cells.

I really don't want to be back here.

I know Xander.

There was a little girl in one. This place is cruel.

"A little girl?" Jaspar whispered. I didn't respond and kept walking.

"You are safe in your chamber, yet you want to escape. Interesting..." It was a man's voice in the distance. "You were hurt in the outside world, you'll be safe here. With me....." A long pause. "Who am I kidding!? I don't want to be here! I want to save you! But I'm safe here. Safe. Safe. Safe. Heh heh heh!"

A deranged laugh rang through the building. "Hey kid, is that your friend?" I pointed to a cell. "Alex!!" I put my hand over his mouth. Damn!

"Who's there? I can see you you know..."

That's Gabriel!! Xav, that's fucking Gabriel!

You're right! I can't believe I didn't recognize his voice! I wonder what they did to him...

"Your presence...Xander. And Xavier. And...another one? Three more?!"

All a sudden, I felt the all too familiar pain of Xander being ripped from my body. The pain was immense, and it was so bad that I could barely stand. "Xavier!" Jaspar exclaimed. "What was that?! I saw a black shadow coming out of your body!"

"It's....fine. Your friends pressed the button."

Footsteps were heard coming up the metal stairs. "...Gabriel..?"
