An Unusual Scar

Her eyes did not sparkle, her face did not glow.
Her hair did not shine, it was white as snow.
She was of average build, average height.
She was not pretty, a rather boring sight.

An unusual scar caught my eye.
So unusual, it made me cry.
So unusual, I had to ask myself why.

Why don't you see the way her eyes sparkle?
Or the way her face glows?
Why don't you see the way her hair shines?
As beautiful as snow.
Why don't you see her perfect figure?
Or her soaring height.
Why don't you see how pretty?
Such a pretty sight.

But an unusual scar caught my eye.
