it was now the year 2020.

y'know the year of all things stupid?

like one example is school. which is the hell hole they're currently in.

julie and clover were walking to their lockers trying to keep a low profile.

which wasn't working considering clover waved to everyone on the way here but oh well.

"hey underachiever, clove." flynn greeted as they finally got to their lockers.

"hey disappointment." julie teased

"hey flynn!" clover said in her airy care free voice

"ok i know you don't want me to ask but have you figured out what you're going to do today?" flynn asked

they were talking about julies music performance. every couple of months the schools music program makes everyone in it preform a solo so you can stay in the program.

every since julie's and clover's mom died julie hasn't written or sung music ever since.

and it was the same case with clover.

clover actually left the music program after her mom died. she just couldn't get as in tuned with music as she used to.

"i'll know in the moment." that was the same response julie always used.

"well that's not really something to go off of." clover voiced

"exactly! that's all your giving us?" flynn asked exaggerated

"ms.harrison said this is your last chance by the way!" clover reminded

"i know. i was there." julie said kind of awkwardly.

"see you at the rally!" the girls heard in the distance

"ugh. what is she handing out?" flynn asked in mild disgust.

"desperation?" julie teased

"here you go. my group's preforming at the spirit rally tomorrow! i'm sure you have nothing better to do." carrie said

as soon as she said that clover tuned out. she does that a lot so she doesn't have to hear her friends exchanging rude words.

yes despite being julie and flynn's bestfriend florence is still friends with carrie.

but it's just because florence has that whole 'i don't hate anybody' kind of vibe.

but she tuned in just in time to hear flynn say something about julie's all time crush

"nick? still? you know they're gonna get married and have a bunch of unholy babies" flynn says matter-of-factly

"nicks a sweetheart!" julie defends

"um i'd think you'd have to actually talk to him to know that." clover says teasingly

"yeah! besides only one of them has to be a demon to have a demon baby. demon!" flynn yells the last word as they turn to lockers and laugh.

"there's that smile. now let's go prove everyone wrong!" flynn says

"yeah i'll see you guys later!" clover says as they head their different ways
