snow is a beautiful thing, isn't it? the way it glistens in the right lighting. it's a pretty white color. the look of cleanliness. each snowflake is different, kind of like people. snow is complex in a way, as all living things are.

people that have never seen snows true colors perceive snow as just beautiful, which they aren't wrong about, snows' beauty had just deceived them.

she was beautiful, light reflecting off of her, those who don't know her being so jealous of those who do, wishing they could be close to her.

those who are close to her know the facade she puts up. how the beauty, in the end, is all fake. she's truely cold, harsh, sometimes deadly. she wasn't the gift sent from the heavens like they said.

she was a demon straight from hell.

those who perceived her would suffer dearly in the future. she didn't hold back, though sometimes she'd show up and go throughout months.

you do know looks can be deceiving, right?

the devil was once an angel too.

you know, society has beauty standards way up. it seem as though the prettiest people are the coldest. snow falling into both categories, besides people of course, makes it a beauty standard in a way.

snow can be fun though too. there's lots of activities to do in the snow. but notice that's always after it's done snowing. it's fun? yeah, i'm some ways it is.

she, the snow, had a dream once. ironically, it was a snowy night. she had always wanted to go driving in the snow with someone. luckily, he was there. taking his hand, she took him to the car, getting in the drivers seat. she signaled for him to get in.

connecting her phone to the aux, she put on a playlist for snowy days. he smiled at her, knowing this was something she had always wanted to do. he noticed everything about her in a non-creepy way. he knew that she loved snow more than anything. something about it had always drawn her in. he was more of a sun person though.

they drive for a while, talking, singing their hearts out. there was nothing that could ruin their mood. driving down country roads while the perfect snow was falling, her eyes full of so much life as she started singing the next song that came on.

"i don't want a friend"
"i want my life in two"
"waiting to get there"
"waiting for you"
"when i'm around slow dancing in the dark"
"don't follow me you'll end up in my arms"
"you done made up your mind"
"i don't need no more signs"
"can you?"
"can you.."
"give me reason we should be complete"
"you should be with him i can't compete"
"you looked at me like i was someone else"
"oh well"
"cant you see"
"i don't wanna slow dance"
"in the dark"
"dark"

his jaw dropped as he heard her voice. sure, she was singing before, but something about what she was just now singing was different. almost acting as an eye opener. she sounded angelic, it was beautiful. she was beautiful.

realizing what he felt for her, he knew he needed to tell her. as she continued to sing, he thought. would she like him, someone like him. one who hates the cold, loves the beauty of it. would she hate him, someone so warm yet so dead inside?  it was a so complicated, and so useless.

you'll never know until you try, right?
he waited until a few songs later, where they were finally reaching street lights to the city. without thinking at all, he grabbed her face and went to lean in. but that didn't work.
the car started to swerve, he had forgot it was snowing, leaving the roads icy.

it seems as if their lives flashed before their eyes. he saw light, beauty, warmth. she saw coolness, white, and in a way, dark.

they knew their time was up shortly. she had started crying without realizing it. he pulled her in, apologizing. she didn't say anything as they felt the car roll off of the road, causing them to crash into whatever was in the path of the out of control car.

minutes passed. the car was pact together, like it was a snowball. she was- dead. he wasn't yet, he was a blink away from it. he held her in his arms, regretting everything. as his final left his lungs, he managed to mutter out a single sentence.

"now you don't have to slow dance in the dark.."

when she awoke from her dream, she then realized something. that was what happened to her. he accidentally killed her, and himself. he was the sun, she was the snow. he was always warm, melting her heart on the inside. she was always cold though, giving him sorts of burns. she then realized the concept of sun and snow.

snow melts because of the suns warmth.
