Today, I was with an old friend of mine, his name is Steven. Me and Steve met back in middle school and we both found interest in public administration. The only difference is, he took one route and I went another.
Me and Steve wasnt the closest of friends, but I'd try to stay in touch every now and then.
Anytime I came back to Virginia to visit. I always try to meet up with a couple of my friends. Just to make it feel like I was at home for real.
Steve actually went on to become sort of like a Podcaster and today he had me on air just to get him and myself a little bit more of notoriety.
I didn't mind since he wasn't very famous, and neither was I, it was more just for fun, sorta I guess.
"Wassup, Wassup Wassup. It's ya boy Steve and I'm back with another guest today. Accompany me and my special. Guess it's your least favorite person Maya."
Maya rolled her eyes. "Shut up and do ya job right." She told him.
From my little hour of just being here, I could already tell that Steve and Maya didn't have the best relationship. I knew the last time that I came, they were- well, from what I thought, dating but apparently something shift.
"Hey everyone, that you for coming back and checking with us." She spoke into the mic. "So y'all know first we gotta dive in with this week's drama, and let's not forget our special guest Big Liyah Jai!" She introduced me as I smiled, shaking my head a bit. "Wassup girly." She smile back at her.
"Wassup." I said back.
Steve smacked his teeth. "Unt Unt girl, introduced yo self." Steve said.
"Okay Well? Um... excuse me, but this is my first time doing this. But my name is Aaliyah Harper... But I go by Aaliyah Jai. I'm 21 and I was born in Cali, but was raise here in Tappahanock. I'm a choreographer, and I done produced a couple of dance videos for artists like Miguel anddd Wale anddd Ne-Yo and currently for Drake."
"Mmmkay Mmkay... so I'm guessing you haven't worked with Breezy." Steve sang.
"Breezy?" I repeated, looking over at Maya.
"Chris Brown." She clarified.
I shook my head no. "No, Not yet but maybe one day in the future."
I was lying like hell, working with Chris was like working with a clingy toddler.
"OK because I remember how you guys were back in high school." He said as I shook my head.
"What you mean?" Maya said making me chuckle.
" They were like the most cutest couple. always together. you wouldn't of seen Chris without Liyah and Liyah without Chris."
"Well, in that case, we might as well just start with the little comments that Chris made in his interview yesterday." Maya started as Steve nodded
