"Wake up." I groan in response. I feel someone prod me in the back. Swatting my hand in the direction of the prodding earns me a deep chuckle. "You have to wake up." I sit up, remembering where I am. "I thought it was a dream." I smile at Jack's beautifully dirty face. "Would you prefer it to be fake, so you can be at home with all your fancy household... Things?" I roll my eyes and hop out of the bed, surprising Jack. "Yes Jack, I would prefer to be at home rather than sailing the seas with such an antagonizing freebooter." He frowns deeply. "Pirate." He mumbles under his breath. I laugh and spin around. I was too excited. I was actually sailing with one of the most iconic pirates of all time! I can't believe that I haven't screamed yet. Well, I probably just jinxed myself. I smile at Jack and walk around the room. "What do you want me to do today? Since I'm a part of this crew, I feel like I should help out." I circle the table, which no longer had any sea charts on them. "Well... Maybe you could clean up in here. It's a bit of a predicament." I pout. I actually wanted to help on deck but, he's the captain and could shoot me with a gun if he wanted. I nod my head and start picking things up. "Ay, slow down a bit. You haven't even eaten anything. Ah, I know just the thing!" He points a finger at me knowingly. He suddenly skips out of the room like something was on fire, slamming the door slightly. I laugh again and continue cleaning. I start singing a tune that my Dad taught me.
"Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday...
unseen, unheard, but always near,
still loved, still missed and very dear.
One day I was smiling, for no reason
at all. Then I realized I was thinking of you!
Baby, I miss you and try not to cry, but it's so
hard cause that's all I do! And I-"
"What in the world are you singing?" I stop abruptly and spin around. Jack was leaning against the wall with food in his arms. He had a banana (Slightly browned) and a muffin of some sort. It looked more like a biscuit. "Nothing." I shrug it off, trying to keep my embarrassment to a minimum. He doesn't believe me and eyes me suspiciously. I walk over to him, ready to take the food from his hands but he pulls back quickly. "Ah, I will give it to you when you tell me what in blue blazes you were singing." I huff at him and continue cleaning. "Please?" I hear him quietly say behind me. It made my hairs stand on edge. "F-fine. If you want to know so bad. It was a song my Dad taught me. He and I used to sing it every time we went out together." I smile at all of the fun memories. I sigh melancholic that they will never happen again. "Used to?" I turn to him with a tight-lipped expression. "He died a couple of years ago." Jack says nothing but his eyes say everything. He looks sad and guilty. "I'm sorry. I lost my father when I was just a lad." I nod at him. "I know." He quirks a brow at me. I start to panic. "I-I mean I know... What it's like to lose a loved one." I breath a sigh of relief when he nods his head in agreement. We stand in silence for a moment and he then shoves the food into my hands. "Well I'll be on deck in you need anything. Keep cleaning the room until it's spotless or I'll have you walk the plank." He smirks at me and I stick my tongue out at him. I start cleaning everything in sight as soon as he leaves. When I'm done cleaning one area, it seems like another mess magically appears! I groan in annoyance. I slowly eat my banana and biscuit as I take in the room. I never noticed that there were bullet holes in the ceiling before now. What was Jack aiming at? I look around trying to find the gun that did this damage. I see a strange looking floor panel and walk over to it. I step on it and it makes a hollow sound. A secret compartment? I lay on the ground next to the board. I try to pry it open with my hands and it just makes them sore. I look around to try and find something that can open it. I see a small plank of wood and grab it quickly. I push it under the floor panel and pry it off. It comes loose and I am able to peel it off. Under the board was a few bottles of rum and several revolvers with ammo. I picked one of them up and looked at it carefully. I pointed the barrel away from my eyes and checked to see if it was loaded. "What in the... Victoria!" Out of fear, I drop the gun making it shoot whatever was loaded. I duck, covering my head and closing my eyes. I hear a scream and look up. Jack was in an awkward position. He was standing on one foot and both of his hands were flailing around. I giggled at the sight. Jacks eyes went wide. "How did you find that?" He walks over to me and snatches the revolver that I just picked up. "I was cleaning the room and I stepped on the panel, so I opened it." I shrugged and he sighed heavily. "Don't touch anything." He tries to walk out of the room again but I quickly stop him. "Then, Captain, how am I supposed to clean this mess?" I put my hands on my hips as I fake a confused look. He stands there gawking like an idiot and stutters. "Well... I um..." I giggle a little and take the gun back from him. I walk over to a table and sit on it. I start fiddling with the gun, trying to remove the ammo so I don't shoot anything again. "Ay! Can't have you blowing up the whole ship." He walks over to me and tries to take the gun. I pull it behind my back so he can't reach. "I'm the one who has to clean, since it's the only thing you'll let me do." He frowns at me and walks around slowly. "Hmm." He quickly runs out of the room and shuts the door. What a strange man. I set the gun down and pick up the empty bottles of rum and neatly stack them by the window. I know that sounds like a terrible plan, but I thought they could be decorative. At least for now. How much stuff does one man need!? Bloody pirate. I move a lot of the furniture and writing utensils to the back of the room. When I was done, I stood back and admired my work. I smiled when I saw that there was no more mess. I look out the window and the sun is setting. Already? That took all day! I walk to the door and open the creaky thing. Walking on deck, I see a lot of the crew still working, including Will. I smile and walk over to the hard working man. "Hey Will!" I bounce over to him. He looks up from tying knots and smiles. "Hello Victoria, how are you? I haven't seen you all day." He quirks a brow after speaking in his British accent. "I was cleaning the cabin." He opens his eyes in slight surprise. "You cleaned the cabin? That's it? I thought Jack would have given you something like swabbing the deck, no offence." I furrow my brow. Jack was giving me easy work on purpose? "None taken." I was still distracted. "What's that?" Will points to my neck and my hand instantly moves there. I open my mouth and look down. I was still wearing Dad's pendant. How didn't I notice this before? "Oh, this was something my Dad gave me." He takes a closer look at it and smiles. "That was very kind of him. The last thing I had from my Father was also a pendant. Nowhere near similar to yours but still sentimental. Where is he now?" He looks back at me. I tense slightly. It was still a sensitive topic. "H-he died." Will suddenly has a look of guilt on his face. "I'm so sorry... I didn't realize." I smile and shake it off. "It's fine." I ask him how to tie the knot he was doing earlier and he showed me eagerly. It was pretty easy. I got my hand stuck at one point and Will laughed hard. I grumbled at him and tried to pry my hand loose. After laughing mercilessly, he finally helped me out. I smacked him on the arm and he faked hurt. He pouted and I smirked. "Turner! Go below deck, were shutting everything down for tonight!" We both turn and see Jack handling the helm. Will rolled his eyes and mimics Jack silently. I have to stifle a laugh by biting my knuckle. It kept me quiet. Will laughed quietly and walked below deck. I sigh and smile. Will is a good friend. Jack walks down with as much sass as a human can possibly have. I give him a look saying: 'Really?' He comes right next to me. "What were you and Turner talking about?" I follow his gaze and he walks around me. "He was surprised that I cleaned out the cabin and... That's it." He hums with a look of 'I don't believe you'. I roll my eyes and walk towards the helm. "It's true. Will was just being friendly and asked me how I was." I put my hands on the helm and continue talking. "I am shocked Captain. Are you... Jealous?" I put a sly smirk on my face and Jack starts fiddling. My mouth was suddenly in a 'O' shape as he just stood there. Wait he's really jealous of Will! Does he like me? Jack stopped my thought process. "No I'm not. I was just making sure Turner didn't leave you to do his work." I hum as he walks up next to me. "Oh, so your making sure I don't do any hard work? What, are you worried I might get a splinter?" I mock him slightly, although I know anyone would probably jump ship after talking to a pirate like that. He stands there for a minute, contemplating what I said. "No more questions. Come here." He grabs my forearm and I seriously wonder if he was going to throw me overboard. He walks over to a cabinet and unlocks it. Inside there were several different shaped cutlasses and a few revolvers, and they weren't as nice as Jack's in the cabin. "Here." He hands a medium weight cutlass to me and it was pretty nice.
"That's yours if you can use it." He walks in the middle of the deck with his own cutlass in hand. "I have been thinking... It would be better for the plan... If you were apart of it-" "What plan?" I interrupt him and he sighs. "No. More. Questions. If you were apart of this plan, It could go better for all of us. When we land in Tortuga, we are going to need a distraction and I think you would be perfect for that. But, can't have me newest crew member killed in one shot. So I am going to teach you how to use a cutlass. That is if you don't already know how." He stands in a fighting position ready to make a move. "Why are we practicing with real swords though?" He smirks at me. "Love, have you ever seen a pirate use a wooden sword?" I roll my eyes and move into the same position as Jack. "Let's see what you can do." Jack lunges towards me and I jump out of the way. I feel my blood begin to pump faster with every move. I haven't hit Jack once yet, I can't hit him! He's very fast. I feel something hard hit my head. "Ow! Jack!" I turn around and he's smirking at me. "You'd be dead by now if that was anyone else." I huff and rub the back of my head soothingly. I try to land a blow on him and he dodges and hits me. "Ugh." I am really starting to get annoyed. "Dead, dead, dead, dead, and oh wait... Dead." Anger starts to boil inside of me. Jack was about to hit me when I blocked. He tried again and the same result. I smirk and laugh. It suddenly felt like I knew how to fight. I fought with more vigor than I've ever had. I blocked and attacked so many times it was hard to count. I felt like getting a little fancy so I flipped over his head and ended up behind him. I then knocked his feet out from under him and kicked his sword in the air. I easily caught it and pointed them both at Jack. He looked half impressed, half scared out of his wits. "I yield, I yield!" He puts his hands up and stays still. I put both swords in one hand and helped him up. I smile, I was so happy. But I was also so sore. "Where did you bloody learn to fight like that?" I think for a moment. "I-I don't know. It just happened. I got angry and I suddenly knew how to fight. I can't explain it." He seems just as confused as me. "Well be in Tortuga my morning. You should get some rest." He walks off and I sigh. What is going on with me. I walk into the cabin and close the door. I tuck the cutlass into a corner by the bed and I lay down slowly. Good night Mom, Molly, Michael and Will. Please be safe.
Victoria's Earth Dimension,
3rd Person's Pov? (Sorry, this is still new to me)
"Where could she be!? It's been almost three days." Jaime cries as Will holds her tightly. "I don't know, but we'll find her." He doesn't know what to do. He was just getting through to Victoria and now she's gone. Did he do something wrong? He feels so hopeless, he can't do anything. "Mom, where's Ravey?" The couple turn to look at Molly and Michael. "We don't know Honey." Jaime tries to calm her crying to reassure the twins. They all sit in the living room in silence, hoping that she will magically walk through that door. They would hug her and cry and never let her go again. But she's not there, and they don't know when she will be. They hear thunder rumbling outside and it fits their mood perfectly. Suddenly a big clap of lighting makes them all jump and the front door bursts open. "Where is my granddaughter?" A weak voice says. Jaime stands up and walks to the door. "Oh Grandma Mia. It's you. Please come in." The small old woman walks in and sits on one of the chairs. She takes off her hat and scarf. "Well where is she?" They all stay quiet until Will speaks up. "She's been missing and we are so worried." Mia puffs her hair out so it wasn't flat from the hat. Her hair was as black as Victoria's. In fact, she looked a lot like the stubborn girl. She sighs and puts her hands in her lap. "I think that it's time you know what she actually is. What I am." They all sit confused as she starts explaining.
