The Cullen House

After school I texted Charlie and told him I was going to a friend's house, he told me to be home by 10. I went to the office with Bella, Edward was leaning toward the secretary and said "There must be something open in sixth period. Physics? Biochem?" she said "No every class is full. I'm afraid you'll have to stay in Biology. I'm so sorry." He straightened up and turned to glare at Bella, causing her to pull me behind her, and backed us up against the wall. He returned back to the lady at the desk, I'll just... endure it." 

He walked out and we handed in our slips, as we walked out of the office, I saw Alice and Sierra walking toward us. So I said "Uh Bells, I hope you are not mad but... Alice invited me over before Edward was a jerk and I said I'd go, and Charlie already knows." she said "No I'm not mad Ara, go. Have fun and stay safe." I hugged her before grabbing Alice and Sierra's hands, letting them drag me off to a jeep. Jasper opened the passenger door and all a sudden my anxiety shot up, Alice whispered in my ear "It's ok." I got into the seat and Jasper closed the door, the girls got in the back, and Jasper was in the driver's seat.   

Once we drove through a lot of trees we pulled up to a gorgeous house, it was a 3 story, modern contemporary house, it had a deep wrap-around porch, was painted white. The south wall was all glass from ceiling to floor, and I was in love with the architectural design. I guess I was sat there staring for a while because Jasper said "Are you ok AraBella?" I said, "Uh, yeah." I looked over at all three of them standing in the open door, "Sorry, just this house, it's... it's beautiful." he smiled at me and held his hand out "Care to see more, miss?" I tentatively set my hand in his "I would love to." he pulled me from the jeep and together we all went inside. I gasped at the beauty of the inside, it looked as if it were multiple rooms made into one big open space, the furniture was pure white, and there was a wide central staircase to the left and a raised area with a grand piano in the center to the right. 

I ran my hand over the delicate and beautiful instrument, Sierra said "Do you play?" I smiled over at her "Not well, my sister used to make fun of me for it, told me id never be good enough," Alice gently wrapped her arms around my waist hugging me, I leaned into her as I continued "Told me I should find a more practical hobby. So I did, I threw all my time and energy into learning all I could before I go to medical school. I also started to draw architectural designs, that's why this house interests me so much. This house is almost perfectly designed." A woman walked in, "Im Esme, their mother. What would you do differently?" she had a heart-shaped face and the same eyes, like the rest of her family, which as I've gotten comfortable with Alice, has shown to be the same eyes I possess. 

I said "Sorry, Mrs. Cullen, I don't mean to disrespect your home, it's beautiful. Im AraBella Swan." She said, "Im not mad at you sweetie, I genuinely want to know what you think would be better." I said "Oh uh, ok. The south wall is all glass, which is beautiful, the light comes in amazingly and you can see the trees, but... it's not practical, it wouldn't be hard to break the glass because it isn't shatterproof, so if someone stumbled upon your house, they could easily break in. Also if we have too strong of winds and it uproots some trees, those two could break your windows." she linked arms with me and led me to the mentioned wall and said "Ah, I too was worried about that, but I had to have the view, so I had this installed." she pushed a button and steel shutters dropped down she said, "Now it wouldn't help an intruder, but if the weather gets bad we are safe." I grinned "Now that is cool."  

Jasper walked over and said "Uh Esme, we have homework to do." she said "Oh right, off you go children." the three of them led me off to a study on the second floor. In the center of the study was a big mahogany desk, it had a nice leather chair behind it, and two more chairs in front of it. The walls were lined with bookshelves filled to the brim with books, mostly about the civil war it seemed, but there were other topics as well. Jasper said, "This is my study." Sierra pitched in "But it has the biggest desk, so it's perfect for us to do homework." We sat at the desk, but there weren't enough chairs, so I sat on the arm of his leather one hoping he wouldn't get mad. We pulled out our homework and silently worked.

About ten minutes later, I was irritated and laid my head on the desk covering my face with one hand, clutching Fluffy with my other, and they tried to explain it to me so I could understand it. A knock sounded at the door, by then I had somehow slid from the arm into the chair, which of course meant I was on his lap. He said, "Come in." I closed my eyes as Esme said "I brought snacks... Whats wrong AraBella?" I groaned out "This makes no sense." Jasper rubbed my back and said "Is Carlisle home? We tried to explain it but she still isn't understanding it." Esme said "Carlisle!" and I heard footsteps advance toward the door he said "Yes love? Whats going on?" Esme said "Your the doctor, help the sweet girl with her homework." he said "I can help, but what does me being a doctor have to do with it? And who is she?" Finally, I looked up and my god this family has some genetics man, everyone is insanely hot. I said "Hello, I am AraBella Swan. But I'm mostly called Ella or Ari."

He said "It's nice to meet you Ella." he walked toward us and I inconspicuously moved Fluffy from his view as he said, "What homework problem do you have?" I showed him the question I was on, and he read it "What causes winged scapula and why? Do you know what causes it?" I nodded "Damage to the long thoracic nerve which innervates the Serrates Anterior." He said "Good, do you know how?" I shook my head no, so he did a demonstration to show me. Then it clicked, once he showed me step by step how it happens it made sense.
