Amphitrite to Poseidon,

Drinking of my amphora,

Red wine and ambrosia,

Surrounded by the nectar of your love.

Those doe eyes which see through me,

Your nimble fingers gliding across,

Strumming the strings of love.

The lilt of your laugh,

The corners of your lips,

Curled up into a smile,

Like a ray of sunshine,

On a cold winter's day,

Providing me respite,

Joy in your grace.

Watching the wind play with your hair,

The scarlet chignon turn to ringlets falling down your face,

Framing your sun-kissed cheeks,

A flush of red adding colour,

As I brush them away to see you true.

Years may pass,

But I will always remember this day,

Your dress flowing in the meadows,

Your arms raised to the skies,

Your laughter echoing through the mountains,

Tasting the sweet fruit of freedom,

Just like I told you once,

Long long ago.
