I see Elliot standing behind me with a carton of milk in his hand. A couple of boys, probably my age, are standing behind him.

"What the fuck?" I quietly yell. I don't want a teacher nearby hearing me or I could be expelled. Elliot smirks.

"White suits you. Don't fret, milk washes out just as easily as water." He slyly says.

I don't even think, but rather feel. And by feel, I mean punch. Hard.

I square him right in his sharp jawline. He falls back after the encounter and holds his chin.

"Don't mess with me anymore, please. I'm only going to ask you once more after this." I say and go back to eating my dinner.

"Holy shit!" Clara exclaims. By now, the whole courtyard is staring at us.

"What has occurred here?" I hear a teacher ask.

"He fell." Joe lied. The whole table and the boys looked at him.

"He tripped and his chin hit the edge of the table." William adds. I have to bite my lower lip to suppress my laughter. I can see Clara doing the same.

"Sir, would you like me to call for a coach to take you back to the castle?" The teacher asks.

Castle? Man, rich people these days. Oh wait.

"No. All I did was trip. There's minimal blood. I don't need you teachers worrying my parents. They would make me lay in a hospital for a week if they saw my chin. I don't need you bothering them, as they're much more important. They should work without being interrupted. Thank you very much." Elliot replies. He's wiping his chin off with a napkin that is now stained red.

"Of course, sir." The teacher responds and leaves without another word.

William passes me a napkin and I wipe the milk off my hair. It get all of it out with a couple wipes. Thankfully, Elliot only poured a little milk on me.

"Well, you've got a good punch, there, Adeline. I must say, it was quite impressive. I don't think Buford could even throw a punch that well." Elliot complements me. I roll my eyes.

"That might be true, but I'm not even sure who Buford is." I reply, eating more of my sandwich that I took out before Elliot came.

And suddenly he takes a seat next to me. Well, more between me and Joe. He pushes Joe to the side a bit and I can see the frustration on his face. But, he moves anyways.

"Well, let me introduce you. This is Buford, George, Charlotte, and Eliza." He says, motioning to 4 people.

Buford was a short, stumpy boy with brown hair and chubby cheeks, George was an average height and had red hair, Charlotte had short, blonde hair and was shorter than Buford, and Eliza was a little shorter than George and had black hair that reached her lower back.

They were all quite attractive in their own ways.

"Good to know the names that are going onto my kill list." I reply, taking another bite out of my delicious turkey sandwich. James is a really good cook.

I can see Buford and Eliza roll their eyes while George and Charlotte snicker.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, too." Charlotte replied, taking the free seat next to me. George and Eliza make their way to the other side of the table while Buford leaves and sits with his other friends.

I try to scoot away from Elliot, but Charlotte is too busy talking to the others then to move. I'm stuck sitting next to the most annoying boy I've met in a while, and I've known William and Joe most of my teen life.
