What happened?!

Lyle pov

After Lauren entered the car, I started driving to the mall. I was still mad at myself and felt guilty for letting Erik there. Alone. And Ellie. I need to do something, I need to get them out of there. I tried to calm down, I didn't wanted Lauren to notice anything. "So", I said, "So", she answered. Damn. 

Lauren pov

I noticed something was wrong with Lyle, but I didn't know what and I also didn't want to ask. I supposed it was something about Erik, they often acted weird lately. I didn't judge them, I've got secrets too, but anyways, it's different. Whatever, we arrived and we almost went in all stores in the building,

We had lunch and then continued shopping. "Oh my god you've got a horrible taste", I said while laughing, "What, I think it's uh it looks good", he responded, "No! Now come on, you have to try something too", "Wait no, we are here because of you", he tried to escape, but no, not with me "I don't care, now come on"

We tried on lot of clothes, and had alot of fun. Even Lyle ended up buying himself two shirts. How mentioned it was fun, but when it was time to pay, I felt so bad I couldn't pay for my own things. I mean, I would have. I just knew I couldn't. "Lyle wait, I still have got some money left, I could-", "Forget it", he said before I could finish my sentence, and payed.

 "Thank you so much... Have you got any idea how I could make my own money?" I asked "Until you're in school I don't know. But don't worry about it, we will help you", "That's very kind, really, but I can't", "Of course you can. Just let it be, okay?", he asked and smiled, "Well...", I didn't really wanted to take thei money but whatever, I'll give it back, as soon as I've my own.

We walked back to the car and drove home, on our way we listened to music and had a great time together. Once we arrived, we get out of the car, and Lyle didn't see his parents car, so he allowed me to go in the main house. We were about to enter the house, as we heard glass breaking, and a scream. Sounded like...Erik?!

Lyle pov

As I heard some glass breaking, I secretly began to panic, and after I heared Erik screaming, I just got angrier "Can you please go rather to the guest house? I think my parents are here anyways", I tried to stay calm. Lauren just nodded and run to the house. I think it scared her... I knew dad was at home and he did something horrible...
