"Wake up."

"Jiwoo wake up."

Jiwoo shook her head awake and was met with the bright lights of her kitchen. Yerim sat across from her, hands stuck in a white and gooey substance that smelt like none other than plaster.

The same plaster Jiwoo was using for her science project...on that one Sunday night.

Jiwoo was shaken, she was lost. She knew where she was but everything was so...unfamiliar to her. One second she was in a park with Sooyoung and then the next, she was in her kitchen with Yerim just like on that one Sunday night.

"Jiwoo, is this really necessary? "

Those words, Jiwoo had heard them before. She decided to respond.

"Yes Yerim, art takes time! Now, stay still...it shouldn't take much longer" Jiwoo spoke just like she did on that same Sunday night and it was almost like history was repeating itself.

"Why couldn't Jinsoul help you with your science project? I don't think that having both my hands in plaster is something I would have soberly agreed to"

Yerim spoke those same words again and Jiwoo felt herself going crazy, she had to break the cycle she was being put in.

"Yerim...."

"What is it dumbass?" Yerim responds just like her snarky self.

"W-what happened?"

"What do you mean, Jiwoo?" Yerim questions her sister who was practically delirious.

"Like- I-I think I had some weird dream. I could r-read minds, I helped everyone get together and in the end me and Sooyoung..." Jiwoo shuddered. She knew it wasn't real, that's what broke her inside. It was all a figment of her imagination.

"Yeah, I was going to let you sleep but then I saw you making out with the kitchen table so..."

Jiwoo's face flushed a bright red. How embarrassing it was to see her in this state. "I even got you and Hyeju together" Yerim scoffed at Jiwoo's words.

"Hyeju? That asshole who doesn't leave me alone? Couldn't it have been someone good you got me together with? Like Yeojin, I at least tolerate her." Yerim sighs, feeling the white substance thicken.

It was so hard for Jiwoo to differentiate fiction from reality at this point. So much she had forgotten that Yerim and Hyeju were enemies...

"Anyways, it's fine, you're just lucky you're cute-" Yerim was interrupted by the small buzz coming from Jiwoo's phone, the sight of her bright anime wallpaper catching the attention of both girls.

"Hmm, speaking of cute. It's Sooyoung, she wants to know where you are" Yerim says, taking a peek at her sister's phone. Jiwoo saw the cycle repeat itself once again. Sooyoung was asking where she was.

Jiwoo looked at the phone for a while and saw the message fade away. She realized she had the power to break the cycle. Maybe Jiwoo's dream was to show her that she could make the right choice.

And so Jiwoo took up her phone and dialed Sooyoung's number.

A ring quickly began to humm from the phone near Jiwoo's ears as she quickly grew impatient "Please pick up...", she whispered desperately.

But thankfully, there was an answer.

"Sooyoung? Sooyoung!?"

"O-Oh, hey Jiwoo. Are you almost here? It's been an hour..." Sooyoung chimed and Jiwoo felt her heart beat out of her chest. She had to change the cycle.

"Sooyoung, hold on i'll be right there." Jiwoo stated, beginning to pack her things quickly.

"But Jiwoo- it's raining-"

"Don't care, I'll be there in five." Jiwoo hung up the phone and dashed for her front door, leaving Yerim behind once again. But what could Yerim truly do? wasn't like she could move her hands or anything...

"Well, looks like this is going to be fun" Yerim says to herself, unsure of what was to become of the rest of the night. Jiwoo was truly something else.

🧠🧠

"Sunshine!" Sooyoung cheered, watching her tutor run to her side as the rain continued to pour down on the both of them.

Jiwoo was out of breath, covered in rain water and flushed red. She looked like a disaster but Sooyoung could care less, all she wanted to see was Jiwoo.

"H-hey Sooyoung, sorry for keeping you waiting-"

"Jiwoo! Don't apologize. Seeing you constantly is a privilege in my mind, maybe I just needed to be humbled a bit" Sooyoung softly states. The cycle was still going but Jiwoo didn't care, if she were going to get things over with, she might as well do what she had feared the most.

"Plus, I got you an ice coffee-" Sooyoung barely got to speak before Jiwoo planted her lips onto hers but moved away in that same second. Sooyoung was dazed, her mouth agape and her cheeks a rosy color that shined in the moonlight.

"Welp...I wasn't expecting that" Sooyoung spoke out loud and Jiwoo let out a sigh of relief, things seemed to be normal and Jiwoo couldn't read minds anymore. She was finally free and now rendered power-less.

Though, she was a bit sad to have lost her power but she hoped to gain more than just some fake powers after tonight.

"So you feel the same?" The question floats from Jiwoo's mouth and Sooyoung nods carefully but before she could, she grabbed onto her shoulder. And as Jiwoo thought Sooyoung was going to lean in, she spoke instead.

"Of Course I do Jiwoo, but before I tell you anything...."

"Let's study for this Math test."

LE FIN.

I'm just joking...

 THE END.

Alright, that is the end of that. Hopefully you somewhat enjoyed the short story that took me a month and a half to make because this is a lot harder than it looks...

And if you're asking, yes, I planned for everything to just be a dream from the start. I mean, who doesn't love a plot twist? Because I just love messing with you guys❤
