Chapter thirteen: the queens wrath

Shade lept backwards as queen emerald charged forward, burrowing her new horn into the ground. Velkhana flipped backwards, attempting to slice off the soldiers horn. Queen emerald however, was not easily fooled. She skidded to a stop, barely being hit by Velkhana's tail. Queen emerald smashed one of her legs into Velkhana, sending her sprawling across the ground. Shade shot his webbing at Queen emerald, latching onto her back. Shade flung himself onto Queen emeralds back, and looked at the soldier that resided there. The soldier turned around with a blank expression on his face, as if he was being controlled against his will. The soldier swiped his forearms at Shade, who dodged the attack effortlessly. Shade then stabbed the seltas soldier in the stomach. The seltas slumped onto Queen emeralds back. Queen emerald grabbed the nearly dead soldier, and proceeded to throw the dying soldier at Velkhana. Velkhana ducked, almost being hit by the projectile. Shade resumed his attack on Queen emerald, stabbing his forearms into the exposed hole in Queen emeralds shell, piercing through the exposed flesh. Queen emerald shrieked in pain, and threw herself into a large tree, knocking Shade off her back. Shade quickly recovered, only to be smacked by one of Queen emeralds legs. He landed into a ground of bushes, where he landed right in front of Valomyr and Namielle, who were busy trying to soothe the wounded Xeno'jiiva hatchling. Shade whipped around to see Queen emerald charge into the bushes, grab the child and toss him into the clearing. The child landed in front of Velkhana, who saw the child's unsightly wounds. This sent Velkhana into a murderous rage. She screamed as she shot forward, latching onto Queen emeralds face. Queen emerald tried to throw her off, but this attempt was met with Velkhana plunging her claws into the hideously mangled eye of Queen emerald. The scream that Queen emerald emitted could only be described as a nightmare. Velkhana then proceeded to tear the seltas queen's mangled eye from its socket, causing green blood to shoot from the wound. Queen emerald grabbed Velkhana, and ripped her off her face with her tail pincer. "Your going to pay for ruining my face!" Queen emerald shouted. "You should thank me, it seems to be an improvement." Velkhana replied. Queen emerald then squeezed Velkhana in her tail pincer. Velkhana then had flashbacks to her fight with Shara ishvalda. "Your not crushing me this time." Velkhana thought to herself. Velkhana carefuly aimed her tail at Queen emeralds tail, and swung it at her tail. The tail pincer became detached from Queen emeralds body, causing Queen emerald to cry out in agony. Queen emerald quickly retaliated by pinning Velkhana down with her foot as Velkhana tried to flee. Shade also found himself in the same scenario, after trying to prevent Velkhana from being pinned down. The hideous queen glared at the two monsters that she had pinned down. "You two heathens are playing with fire today. First, you disrespect me. Second, you steal my weapon from me. Third, you turn me into a hideous wretch. And now, you destroy my army! Now, you are going to PAY!!!" Queen emerald roared. Velkhana and Shade struggled to free themselves as the enraged seltas queens jaws parted, aiming to take a bit out of the two creatures she had trapped. Queen emerald then felt a searing pain that originated from her back. After releasing Velkhana and Shade, she whirled around to see an enraged Valomyr staring daggers at the queen. "You will NOT touch her, or the child. If you do, I will personally tear your head off." Valomyr growled, black streams of wind swirling around him. "Oh great, you again." Queen emerald snarled. "It's not just him that wants to tear your head off." Namielle said, stepping out from hiding. Namielle had droplets of steaming water dribbling from her maw, signifying that the searing pain that Queen emerald felt was because of Namielle's water jet stream. "How many times must I beat the four of you to a pulp!" Queen emerald screamed, frustrated by her apparent lack of progress in terms of killing her four enemies. Queen emerald was then abruptly interrupted by Shade who had latched onto Queen emeralds cracked exoskeleton. Queen emerald suddenly threw herself forward, throwing Shade off of her back, and into her face. Queen emerald wasted no time sinking her jaws onto Shades exposed forearm. Shade yelled out in pain, dark green blood pouring from the mangled forearm. However, Shade felt a pain that nearly knocked him unconscious. He watched in horror as he saw his Forearm detach from his body, having been torn off by Queen emerald. Shade howled in pain as he released Queen emerald. Shade landed on the ground, using his remaining forearm to put pressure on the bloody stump where his other forearm used to be. Shade began to feel lightheaded as he watched Queen emerald spit his severed forearm out of her mouth, and begin to stomp towards him. Namielle charging into Queen emerald was the last thing Shade saw, before blacking out.

Terragar had been following the fast-moving creature for quite some time. After noticing the creature landing on a cliff side, the gore magala swooped down to follow. Terragar readied his wing-arms, aiming to pin down whatever this strange creature was. Terragar collided into the creature, pinning it down with no way to attack Terragar. Terragar's sensors depicted that the fast-moving creature was an elder dragon. "Don't move." Terragar said. The elder dragon glared up at the gore magala. "The real question is, what gives you the right to tackle me?" The elder dragon growled. Terragar's sensors projected an image of a female valstrax under his claws. Terragar was not surprised, seeing as how many old world dragons have migrated to the new world. "That does not matter. You will answer my questions without resistance." Terragar snarled. "Why should I?" The female valstrax said. "My master gave me orders to find and kill an elder dragon named Velkhana." Terragar said. Suddenly, Terragar's sensors detected a smug grin on the female valstrax's face. "Oh, you mean that stuck-up lizard?" The female valstrax said. "Yes. How do you know her?" Terragar asked. "I used to live in the elders recess. That little brat would always complain about how "nobody treats her with respect", when she doesn't deserve respect at all!" The female valstrax said. Terragar slowly released the female valstrax from his grasp. "Well, Both me and my master hate Velkhana as much as you do, so how about this. Follow me back to the elders recess, and join Alatreon." Terragar said. The female valstrax pondered the offer for a moment. "If it means killing her, the I will be happy to help Alatreon." The female valstrax said. "Good. Follow me." Terragar said. The two elder dragons took to the sky, and flew back to the elders recess, where Alatreon would accept the female valstrax as one of his newest enforcers.
