Shade woke up, still in pain from the previous night. He righted himself and set off to resume his mission. Shade would not fail queen emerald a second time, due to the fact that his life was on the line. As shade exited the colony through an exit tunnel, he used his senses to see if he could find any traces of Velkhana. Lucky for him, he detected Velkhana's presence near the hoarfrost reach. After using a tunnel to get to the hoarfrost reach, shade followed Velkhana's tracks, contempt on finishing what he started. After an hour had passed, shade had found Velkhana's den. Shade entered, not wanting to freeze to death. As shade scuttled around the frozen den, he noticed Velkhana and Namielle talking to each other. Using his webbing, he hung from the roof of the den, and listened. "Velkhana, I noticed that you seem to be hunted more than usual. Why is that?" Namielle asked, tilting her head. "Well, you remember when we killed Shara ishvalda right?" Velkhana said. "Well, I remember shattering him into bloody pieces." Namielle said, shifting her tail. "Well, this enraged Alatreon, and I think he might know that it was us who killed his pawn." Velkhana said, nervously shifting. "I wouldn't worry about it. Valomyr already dealt with the spider assassin." Namielle said. Shade saw this opportunity, and dropped down behind Namielle. "I beg to differ." Shade said, raising his forearm to strike Namielle. Velkhana reacted quickly, and fired her ice breath at shade, nearly hitting him. Shade dodged the attack, and circled Velkhana and Namielle. "I lost to you once, I will not lose again." Shade said. "Why do you keep attacking us? What did we ever do to you?" Namielle shouted. "Because I will not suffer again." Shade said. "Wait, what?" Velkhana said, confused as to what Shade meant. Suddenly, shade shot forward, slashing Velkhana's wing. Velkhana snarled in pain, clutching her wounded wing. Namielle saw this, and had enough. She charged forward. Shade saw this, and fired a thick stream of webbing from his abdomen. Suddenly, Namielle leaped to the side, and grabbed the strand of webbing with her claws. "Nice try, but I am not falling for that again." Namielle said. Namielle yanked on the strand of webbing, causing Shade to fly towards her. Namielle waited until Shade was only mere inches from crashing into her before slamming her head into Shade, sending him sprawling. The stunned Shade stood up, trying to regain control of his vision. Suddenly Shade heard the wingbeats of a kushala daora. He turned around to see an enraged Valomyr. "I warned you. Now I am going to make you pay for hurting them you insect!" Valomyr shouted. Valomyr hurled himself forward, ready to crush the nerscylla. The assassin however, leaped over Valomyr, and clamped onto his back. Valomyr let out a bellowing roar, and thrashed around, trying to shake Shade off of him. Shade however, had a trick up his sleeve. Under his white cloak, his abdomen had begun to twitch. Suddenly, Valomyr felt a stinging pain as he saw Shade plunge his stinger into his neck. Valomyr threw Shade off of him, and glared at him. Suddenly, the sensation of sleep had become to powerful for Valomyr to bear. Valomyr made an attempt to charge at Shade, and promptly passed out, fast asleep. The venom that was secreted in Shades stinger acted as a narcotic, which saved him many times in the past. Shade skittered up to Valomyr, raising his forearms in an attempt to kill him. Shade was then interrupted by Velkhana who had pounced at him after seeing Shade tranquilizing Valomyr. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM!!!" Velkhana screamed, fearing that Valomyr was poisoned. "I simply put him to sleep. Now he won't interfere with my work." Shade said. Velkhana roared and attempted to crush Shades skull. This was a fruitless attempt, as she soon felt a stinging pain in her stomach. She knew that Shade had stung her. Velkhana's eyes began to flutter as she struggled to stay awake. When Velkhana's legs could no longer support her body, she fell to the ground. Velkhana fought to keep her eyes open, as shade approached her. "Rest easy, for your sacrifice will end my suffering." Shade said, raising his forearms to deliver the killing blow. "Any last words?" The assassin said. Velkhana only emitted a weak growl. "Fair enough" Shade said. However, Shade suddenly felt as if he was being boiled alive. He he turned to see Namielle blasting her boiling slime at Shade. Shade jumped out of the way, his cloak soaked in the watery slime. Shade had begun to run out of options, when he suddenly made a last resort. He shot his webbing at the den ceiling, where he swung down at Namielle like a wrecking ball, the venomous spike in his back ready to impale her. Namielle barely dodged the attack, almost being clipped by the spike on Shades back. Shade fell from the ceiling, the strand of webbing being broken from the amount of weight it held up. Shade flew up into the air, and began to fall. The last thing shade saw, was the ice-covered ground getting bigger every second. Then, darkness overcame Shade.
Queen emerald Was sitting in her den, making plans with Alatreon. "I believe I should send my troops to the ancient forest, where they can camouflage and ambush those living there." Queen emerald said, pointing to a crudely made drawing of the ancient forest on a crudely drawn map of the new world. "No. They will hear your army coming from miles away." Alatreon said, shaking his head. Queen emerald was about to come up with another suggestion when suddenly, two seltas guards barged into the den. "Queen emerald, your presence in the bottomed jade colony is urgently needed." The guards said. "What is going on?" Queen emerald demanded. The secret weapon is doing something strange. We don't know why exactly." The guards said. Queen emerald shot forward, thinking something was wrong with the secret weapon. After Queen emerald arrived to the chamber where the secret weapon was being held, her eyes widened at what she saw. Even Alatreon looked surprised. The weapon was emmiting a bright glow, one that could easily blind an individual. "Get that thing under control, NOW!" Queen emerald yelled. A group of seltas swarmed the secret weapon, containing hitting it with their forearms until it stopped glowing. "What happened here?" Queen emerald demanded. "We dont know your majesty, but we think it's absorbing the bio energy of others" one seltas pointed out, pointing at a deceased seltas guard, who looked like his soul had been sucked out of him. "Well, this is good news. I expect you to return to our plans Queen emerald." Alatreon said, turning to return to queen emeralds den. Queen emerald followed him, having a gut feeling that what they were doing would change the course of history forever.
