The blood had finally cleared from the water's surface, leaving it clear as before. Damara was satisfied with her kill. She turned to see Rhydia's red hair emerge from the deep water. "How did I do?" Damara didn't bother to try hiding her excitement.
"I will be the one to tell you how you did." Damara turned around to be faced with enraged eyes, covered with strands of dark hair.
"You made a complete fool of yourself. Did you not see the other man who you allowed to escape? That was a child's mistake!" The smile faded from Damara's lips, leaving behind a hurt crease between her eyebrows.
"You forget, Merilee, that this has been Damara's first time. If I remember correctly, you weren't so natural to it yourself." Merilee glared at Rhydia before returning her gaze to Damara.
"I'm sure the man who escaped won't bring anyone back with him.
He didn't seem to know his way around. Besides, we have more important matters to discuss."
Penelope emerged and remained next to Rhydia, who placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Penelope, I'm assigning you to train Damara. She could use the help of someone with skill as yours."
Penelope smiled in agreement.
"Is there anyway you would need my help, Penelope?" Merilee asked.
"No," She responded in a gentle voice "I am sure I can manage on my own. As long as Damara will try to improve, I will try my best to teach her everything I know."
Damara's smiled returned, bits of flesh still fresh in her gums.
