I opened my eyes and stared down at the huge angler fish. The deep dark blues of the water staring at me. I couldn't stop smiling down at it... What was I doing...? I looked around and saw that couple again. "Hello young lady." The man said to me. "Hello." I said back. "Are you alright dear?" The lady asked me. "I--uh... Yes, I'm alright." I said, smiling at them. "Your voice sounds familiar?" The man said to me. "So does your." I muttered, trying to think. "I'm sorry, dear." The lady said to me. "I'm sorry, where are my manners? My name is Violet." I said, smiling at them. "Oh Violet. You're the girl that's babysitting tonight for us." The lady said. "Ah, that's right, dear. Well it's nice to meet you before time." The man said and I smiled. "I'm sure Ib with love you." The lady said.

"Why did you do that?" A little girl asked. I felt her tighten her grip on my waist. "I promised you, Ib." "Are you alright dear?" The lady asked me and I blinked. "I'm fine." I said and the lady smiled. "Oh, we'll let you be, you probably have much to see." The lady said and they walked away. I turned and started to walk. What was that back there? Who was that girl? How did I know her name? What was that place we were in? I stopped and stared. No way, he really did show up. His lavender hair and tattered blue coat. He stood there, almost like a painting himself. I walked closer to him as he seemed fixed on the rose in front of him. I stood beside him and stared at the rose.

"It's pretty, isn't it?" I turned and he was smiling at me. "It is." I said back to him, following his soft tone. "I feel somewhat...sorrowful. I wonder why?" He asked. We turned back to the rose and stared. You and the rose are connected. Know the weight of your own life. If the rose wilts, so too will you rot away. I heard a sound and turned back to this gentleman. "I'm sorry?" I asked, staring at him. He just smiled at me. "I'm glad you came. I thought I might not see you again." He said. "I mean, it's rude not to know someone's name." He added and I turned back to the sculpture. "Violet." I said as I kept my eyes on the rose. He turned to me and stared. "Garry." He said, reaching his hand out to me.

"What?" I said turning my head. "We met twice now and I still haven't asked your name. My, how rude of me." I stared at him for a moment and he looked worried. "Are you okay?" He asked me and I nodded. "Ya, I'm ok." I said and he softly smiled at me. "I'm glad I got to see you too. I was worried I wouldn't get to pay you back for the coffee I spilt on you." I said and he turned back to me again. "You don't have to worry about it. It was an accident." He said, slowly waving his hands in front of his face. "No, I have to do something, I--" I stopped and my fingers hit something in my pocket. I grabbed a hold of it and pulled it out.

"A rose? How curious." Garry said and I held it up to my face. He started to softly chuckle and I looked at him. "What's so funny?" I asked slowly. "The rose." He said and I tilted my head at him. "A pink rose means joy and youthfulness." He started. "Represents young and innocent love. Or pure bliss." I said, before I shook my head. "Well... you know a thing or two about roses." He said, smiling softly at me. "I don't know where that came from." I said, looking back at the rose.

The pastel pink petals staring back at me as I slowly turned it to see one had wilted. I grabbed a hold of it and pulled it off. "What are you doing?" Garry asked, somewhat loudly as he grabbed my wrist. He kept looking me over for a moment. "You're not hurt, are you?" He asked. I stared at him, holding the petal. "Are you alright?" I asked him. He looked at the rose then at me and back. "Garry?" I asked. He looked around and he started to smile to himself. He looked back at me and his jaw dropped.

"Violet." He said softly, his voice so filled with emotions. He took a step closer to me and I stared at him. "Violet, I remember now." He said and I stared at him. "Violet, please tell me you remember." He asked and I stared at him. "I'm sorry, I don't." I said slowly. "You don't remember that bizarre gallery? The paintings chasing us? Or Mary?" He said and I stared at him. "Ib was there too. Where is she?" He added and it was that name again. That girl's name. "You have to remember, Violet. Please. Please tell me you remember." He pleased to me.

"She lied to me. She should be dead. I should be taking her place." Mary said as she pulled my head back again. I gasped. "Take my place instead." Garry said. "No, Garry." I said. "I'm not falling for that again." Mary said.~~ "We found what she lost, now she shouldn't be grieving." Ib stated. "Ib how do you know that word?" Garry asked her. " Violet told me." Ib said to him. "And" Ib went on "shouldn't Violet be the next bride? She does have the bouquet?" ~~ "What is it, Garry?" I asked him softly. " I just remember the silliest thing." He said to me."I remembered this cafe. I remembered they had macaroons. Have you ever had one?" He asked. "I know what they look like, but I've never had." He took my hand and I looked into his eye. "One." I muttered. "I think you love them." He said to me.

"We should probably move this." I stated. "You mean I move it." Garry stated. "No, I'd help you."~~ "Hi you." Garry said. "Hey." I said. "Do you think..." " It not your fault." I said to him. He looked at me confused. "That you didn't notice." I said. "Glad that one of us thinks that." he said. "Stop it, it's not your fault." I said walking closer. "It's not your fault Garry." I repeated to him as I took his hand. "It's not your..." I said as Garry pulled me in and hugged me.~~"Garry, snap out of it, Garry, Garry." I started shaking him. "Garry, wake up... we- were going to get out... all of us. Garry please..." For some reason my body moved on it's own. I pushed him down and leaned closer, kissing him. "Please don't leave me." I said quietly. "V-v-Violet?" I looked down, Garry eyes looking up at me. "Violet, what happened? Why are you on me?"

"Garry." I breathed as I stared at him. I dropped the fake rose as I stared at him. How could I have forgotten? Garry stared at me as I felt my eyes tear up. "Garry, I--" I stopped as I was pulled. "Violet, you remember. You remember." He said, holding me close to him. "I'm sorry." I whispered, but I felt him shook his head. "No, I forgot too. It's ok. You're remembered now and it's all ok." He said and I smiled. I looked up at him and he smiled down at me. He brushed my hair away from my face and leaned down. "What are you two doing?" I stopped and we turned to see her. "Ib?" I asked and she looked at me. "Yes?" She asked and I stepped away from Garry. I bent down next to her and she stared at me. "Do I know you?" She asked and I gave her a sad smile.

"Ib, there you are." I looked up to see that couple again. That's right they are her parents. "Ah, hello again Violet. I see you met Ib." Her father said to me and I smiled at him. "Ib, this is the lady who is going to babysit you tonight." He added and I smiled. "Oh, hello Violet." She said and I smiled at her. I stood up and held my hand out to her. "Hello Ib, it's nice to meet you." I said and she smiled. He took my hand and smiled. "Come on, Ib. let's go home." Her mother said and they walked away. "We'll see you later, Violet." Her father said and I waved goodbye to them.

"She doesn't remember." Garry said and I turned to face him. "This isn't good." I said back. I stared at him as he gave me a sad smile. "What are we going to do?" I asked and he just stared at me. "You are sitting her later... trying then could work." Garry said. I walked closer to him and set my hands on his coat. "You have a point there." I said and he smiled down at me. "And I know just how to do it." I said, looking up at him. He stared at me and I smiled at him.
