"Well, can she get us back to her at least?" Ellaria questioned, looking at the boys with hope. But as they both flopped down on along in the middle of a damp forest. Ellaria got the message, and her face quickly changes to disappointment as she joined them on the log. "Well, don't look that disappointed; we are fun to be around?" Connor spoke sarcastically as Ellaria gave him the same look that Aylin would if he talked to her like that. "You know, for a girl that didn't know her sister till half a year ago, you damn well have some of her mannerisms." He chuckled with a smirk written across his face. "Oh yeah, how so?" She smiled back endearingly, tilting her head to one side. "I don't know. You just remind me of her, that's all." Connor smiled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away awkwardly. Tobias then told them of a place they could hide for the day; it was a small pond area, safe out of sight from the possible predators.
Meanwhile, Aylin was sending scribblers to and from Benedict. "What is it thins time?" Cassian asked as another flew right next to his ear. "We are just sorting out a plan. I will let you know when we have something solid." Aylin responded with a sigh as she replied and sent the next one. Aydin then got up and realised the room was spinning, and she had this weird ringing in her ears. "Ah!" She exclaimed, clutching her head. "Aylin, what's wrong?" Cassian yelled, running over to her and helping her sit on the sofa. "My head, there ringing, I think reality doesn't like something Benedict's magic has created or ours magics are repelling communications for some reason," Aylin spoke through evident pain.
After three hours, Aylin fell asleep, and everything seemed calm, but Cassian refused to take his eyes off her. He also knew he couldn't see Aylin go through that much pain again; every time something happened to her, he couldn't bear it. However, often he told himself she could live through anything. As the thought he had an idea, a way to communicate between the others the scratch spell; he remembered her saying something about it being on everyone, and it heals quickly. He then grabbed a knife and wrote on his arm, and without any warning, the others felt pain.
"Ah, God, what the hell is happening!" Archer screamed to Benedict; as they both crumpled to the floor. For a moment, the two looked softly into each other's eyes as they steadied each other. "It's a scratch spell. Someone needs to talk to us and has no magic." Benedict announced to Archer with a pained voice. "Look, it's Cassian; he's saying Aylin isn't well, she hears ringing, and nothing is making sense as to why it's happening?" Archer announced, just able to talk through it. Benedict's face dropped at Archer said that, and he continued to look around the room they stood in. "Oh, no, no, no!" He muttered as he paced and then began writing a boomerang scribbler to Cassian. "What did you write back with?" Archer questioned in a fluster as he watched the writing on his arm heel.
"Aylin will be fine, but I need to use my magic to pick her out of the cave with Cassian to help her?" He spoke ominously to Archer as he then ran to the library and began working on the thing he did best and led from a close friend. In seconds she was there, "who has this happened to Ben, is she stuck in limbo yet?" The woman spoke, strutting into the place looking very powerful indeed. Dressed in a black Cape, with all black accessory and grey eyes. "Hello Nyx, thank you for coming at short notice. This is also my-my friends Archer." Benedict introduced them as Nyx shook his hand and looked I'm up and down, finally giving him and smirk. Then looking at Benedict with the same look, "He is the youngest one you have had yet, Ben, but I can tell you are a perfect match."
"Thank you, Nyx, but not the issue. I have a queen who needs saving before she gets lost in her mind. Now we need magic to take both Cassian and Aylin from the cave to here. I can't get a portal to form, so that's your take Nyx, meanwhile I need to form a potion."
Everyone then got to work. Archer helped Benedict while Nyx managed to get through to Cassian and Aylin. "I have got them, boys; you need to stand back there going to come flying through!" Nyx screamed as then Aylin flew through and a few seconds later Cassian. Both landing in a heel on the floor, Aylin still not moving from her position. "So Cassian tell me, what has she been doing for the last three hours since it began?" Benedict insisted in knowing as Cassian peeled her off of the floor and on to the desk.
"She has mostly slept, and taking about Baze and his movements and where he is going next?" Cassian added as Benedict then give her an amount of a potion.
In seconds Aylin woke up in a panic, crashing her forehead into Cassian's, and she stood over her. "Ow!" He chuckled softly as he looked up into Aylin's eyes. They then peeled their head back from each other, rubbing their heads slightly. "Thanks for saving me, Benedict, and Nyx. How are you? I haven't seen you in many centuries?" Aylin spoke warmly, knowing precisely what had transpired before her. "The same to you, Aylin, oh I am sorry, my Queen!" She stuttered, realising Aylin's new title. "Oh please, you are a fiends Nyx; Aylin is fine, now I must get Ellaria and the boys back here." Aylin insisted but being stopped by Nyx. "I got it Aylin, you shouldn't conjure for at least a day?" Nyx smiled warmly, which did not match her exterior aesthetic. Aylin then agreed to let Nyx conjure a portal for the boys and Ellaria to jump into space.
