CHAPTER III
— SHADOW: SONIC —
In the world of Mobius, Sonic and his friends were enjoying a much-needed vacation at the vast Sandy Hills. Sonic, as usual, was lounging on a bench, savoring his favorite chili dog while listening to the radio. Tails was surfing in the expansive ocean, and Knuckles was building an impressive sandcastle for fun. Meanwhile, Amy, just like in Sonic X, was collecting seashells and crafting them into bracelets.
Everything seemed perfect, just like any normal vacation.
As evening approached, Amy was in the kitchen preparing dinner, while Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were gathered around the TV. Amy assumed they were watching a sports game.
After a while, Sonic started feeling hungry again and decided to head to the kitchen. On his way, he felt a strange sensation on his arm. He thought,
"What is this...?"
He noticed a small gleam of light on his skin. Looking down, he saw more dots of light on the floor. Driven by curiosity, he followed the trail, which led him to the basement.
He reached a very dark room and felt a sense of foreboding. As he stepped forward, something touched his left shoulder. Sonic tried to rationalize it as the wind, but there were no windows in the basement.
Then, another hand touched his right hand. It was a terrifying experience as the unknown presence slowly slid its finger down his back.
Unable to bear it any longer, Sonic turned around and came face to face with a murky shadow. It looked malevolent, like it wanted to consume his soul. Sonic tried to run to the basement door, but he was too late.
The shadowy figure consumed Sonic's soul and then moved upstairs, where it found Amy in the kitchen. It took her out quickly and then entered the dining room, where Tails and Knuckles were waiting.
The two were stunned but knew they were facing something deadly. Knuckles tried to punch the shadow with all his might, but his hand got stuck inside it. Realizing the dire situation, he yelled,
"Tails, run!"
But the shadow, shaped like a robot, was too fast. It caught up with Tails, and both heroes were defeated.
