In Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, there was a small but humble house, standing plainly in a village.
In that small but humble house, there were six children.
One of them, a boy named Kim Seokjin, was making food in the kitchen. He had flour all over his face and clothes, egg on the counter, and a crackling pan of hot oil on the stove.
"Agh, that was a close one..."
He dropped another piece of heavily floured chicken into the pan of oil. It continued to hiss violently.
After a couple minutes, he took out the chicken and placed them gently on a plate. He then swiftly grabbed bottles of ketchup, mustard, and mayo from his dinner table and brought them to his room, where his other five friends resided. The three boys were playing video games, while the two girls were telling stories to each other and playing with each others hair.
"I'm back~" Jin said, putting the plate down on the bed and joining the boys on the bed.
"Yum!" One of the boys, Lee Jaehwan, took a piece of the chicken, but dropped it soon after as it was piping hot.
Jin and the other two boys, Lee Junghwan and Cha Sunwoo, laughed in hysterics. The two girls, Ahn Heeyeon and Moonbyulyi, appeared to take no notice of this, even though Heeyeon groaned in annoyance and Moonbyul chuckled in response.
The children then eventually took a piece of chicken and ate in joy, praising Jin for his amazing cooking ability.
"You ain't takin any Heeyeon?" Moonbyul asked, taking another bite of her chicken drumstick.
"Nope, I still have to braid your hair after all, don't wanna dirty my hands." She took a carton of strawberry milk next to her and started drinking it instead.
"Still wanna open that food truck, huh Jin?" Sunwoo asked. Jin nodded enthusiastically.
"This is gonna sound really cliche, but I do believe good food makes good people...and that's what I wanna provide."
"Good people?" Junghwan grinned.
"No, you idiot! That's called human trafficking and it's illegal! I'm talking about good food!"
"Yea, yea, I get it." He rolled his eyes.
"Don't let him get to you, Jin. I'm sure you'll succeed in the future." Heeyeon winked.
"Yea! We'll visit the truck in the future! Right, Junghwan?" Jaehwan nudged Junghwan in the ribs.
"Huh? What were y'all saying?"
"Junghwan!!!" Jin whined.
They all broke out into laughter once again. Jin playfully hit Junghwan in the back while he admitted that he will.
"Don't worry, Jin," Moonbyul said afterwards with a huge smile on her face. "We're all going to."
