Celaena was wandering aimlessly on the streets of Varese.  She had abandoned her plan of killing the king and crown prince of Wendlyn what seemed like ages ago. Mere thought of the excuses she would have to give that monster for a king on returning to Rifthold for not being able to accomplish her mission or  her oath to Nehemia was enough to render her a  splitting headache. So she decided that she would rather  take a break and look into these matters later which left her with nothing to do except for exploring this foreign continent.
While walking her eyes fell upon two fae males. Not that they were easy to miss in the narrow alley  but people parting a  way for them, clearly out of  fear and not respect, made the two warriors even more prominent.
One had tawny eyes, golden hair and sun kissed skin.  His physique and body language suggested that he had centuries of training and if you mess with him he could make your life a living hell. The other with emerald eyes , silver hair and tan skin while looked pretty young , perhaps only five to seven years elder to her but with his fae speed and senses, Celaena guessed that he would be way more lethal than a human warrior of his age.
Judging by their gait they seemed to be approaching Celaena. As they closed in she could taste fear not only of being outmatched by their skills but also that of her identity being revealed.  She was damn sure that her aunt had sent them out for her and they knew very well who she was. Thus just to avoid the drama she walked up to them and exclaimed, " what a lovely surprise !!" making sure it was loud enough for everyone to hear .
Their expression was enough to tell her they were startled but Celaena was thankful that both of them had the basic sense of joining into the act instead of spilling the beans. They led her to the city border where three horses were waiting for them. She knew she could easily outsmart these warriors but at this point the queen of fae was her only shot at getting the information which was much required to deal with the Wyrdkeys . Therefore she mounted her horse .
Celaena had already started to hate these bastards. How arrogant could these faes be? They were acting as if they were the only beings in existence, thought Celaena.  Not one of them had said a word since they had left the alley. So despite being herself, when everyone was ready for the journey she decided to launch a conversation only for the sake of introduction .
"I presume you know who I am" , blurted Celaena, "and you work for Queen Maeve. " literally spitting the name of the fae queen. Her mother had spent all those years preventing her from the clutches of that piss poor excuse of an aunt of hers but here she was.
The blonde one only nodded. While contemplating the size of their ego Celaena mumbled, " But what must I call you both?"
"I am Gavriel, " said the blonde male and then pointed towards the other "and this is Rowan."
"Where are we headed to ?"
"You would get to know once we reach there. "
" Who the hell do you think you are to escort me to gods know where and that too without my permission. " , shouted Celaena and then a series of fancy phrases worked their way up her mouth.
"You don't talk to my master like that you silly bitch." , responded Rowan. Both Rowan and Celaena were infuriated and seemed ready to start a brawl.
But Gavriel interjected,  "Enough you two, Rowan control your anger or I will make you chop wood for a week and as for you little princess " he said mockingly " the queen has summoned you and we are taking you to her and if I find you using any of those phrases again or throwing any other tantrum of yours for that matter then I would personally make sure that everyone in this city knows you Aelin Galathynius. "
Celaena's face turned red in anger and she shot both the faes an angry glance but she could judge people amply well  to know Gavriel wasn't one who believed in giving empty threats and thus for the first time in a long time she gave in.
After that neither Celaena nor Rowan utter a single word as they proceeded. Thanks to Chaol she had to face the name from which she had been running  for the past 10 years and she made a mental note of making that Captain Godsdamn Stupid Westfall regret this once she returned.
