Hello Everyone!
Today we are back with another interview! She's an anonymous girl who likes to scribble beautiful stories, her story 'treat you better' is definitely a treat for the readers!
Welcome scribblergirl to the interview! I'm so excited to have you here! Thank you! It is a pleasure to be interviewed by you.
Great! let's start the interview <3
Okay sure
1. Real name ( if you don't want to disclose its okay!)
Sorry,
But I do not want to disclose it.
Hope it is alright.
no probs haha ;)
2. Age?
22
okay
3. Where did you get the inspiration to start writing?
I used to read from a very young age.
Initially, I was very fascinated by the comics being published on the Tinkle comics. I started writing stories that mimic the quality of the comics and later on, as I progressed to reading short stories and novels, I was inspired to write short stories as well.
that's very fascinating!
okay, moving on.
4. Who are the favourite authors did you find in this platform? What are the favourite books which you read in one go?
I loved Grey's Tribute and Fin's Claim by author Whiskeyqueenn
Amongst the Indian writers, I like the stories written by Meraki18 and Roshini_97. 'Nurtured Love' was a great book by Meraki18 and I loved reading 'Bittersweet' by Roshini_97.
Interesting! I will definitely check those out <3
5. What do you usually expect from readers. Was there any time when you felt bad that your readers didn't understand you?
I do not expect anything from the readers. Readers on Wattpad read the books on the platform to get away from boredom and to chill for some time. It is hardly fair to pressurise them to give me the response that I think is appropriate.
That being said, I did feel upset when some readers called my book regressive. I know my book is not the greatest flag bearer of feminism but my story revolves around people who are afraid to stand up to their bullies and can easily be deceived. Also, some of my characters believed in giving second chances because there scared to face the repercussions they might face later on in life. I had to delete a book I was working on because of the negative comments. And to be honest, I
started writing stories with the "damsel in distress" protagonists because that is what is in demand on the Wattpad platform. I had published stories of strong-willed women earlier and the number of readers I got was pathetic. (Around 1-3 readers)
So as a response to people who criticise me on Wattpad, I only write the stories that people want to read on Wattpad. I honestly would like to write better female-centric stories but it is not worth my time or effort if no one reads them.
