Hello guys it's me your dear deardevil123 with a brand new interview with one of

The most recognized author shana_geoshini

So let's start the interview with the most basic question

1. What is your Real name ( if you don't want to disclose its okay!)

Sahana (Not fully my real name though)

2. Age

25

3. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer? And how old were you?

At 21 years old

4. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

The kind of imagination I had. I realized that my stories make more sense to me than anything else I have ever read.

5. Do you think someone could be a writer if they don't feel emotions strongly?

I don't think writing includes emotions a lot. As long as you have a creative mind, you can be a writer. Most of my books are emotional. But I don't really cry or feel hurt while writing them, because I am personally not an emotional person.

6. How was your experience as a wattpad star?

Feels great. After some time, it's really an addiction that I can't stay without. Pleasing fans has become a daily chore.

7. What was the inspiration behind your __ book/books? (title/titles of their book)

Not really sure... It just came to mind. I googled some interesting names and then mix-matched some of the nicest words. That's all.

8. Which is the most favourite book of your creation and why?

Dark passion is my personal favourite, because I feel like it has a fresh story-line amidst many cliché plot. It was freshly made from my creativity without pulling any other inspirations. The book was the only reason how I became a star overnight.

9. What do you suggest for other authors on Wattpad?

Tip 1 – Do not take very long to post updates, no matter how less engaging readers are
Tip 2 – Try gripping the audience with every chapter (eg, cliffhangers, intense scenes)
Tip 3 – Be a reader while writing your own stories. Read your chapters and place yourself in the shoes of readers. Would you like to continue reading this story?
Tip 4 – Stick to your genre
Tip 5 – Don't do CLICHÉ

10. There are many authors who are yet to improve in writing, many gems of books which go unnoticed. Would you like to suggest the newbies on how to improve in writing?

1. Try having a dark, inviting, sexy, intriguing synopsis.
2. Do a classy cover page. Badly edited covers are a huge turn-off.
3. Try targeting an audience. Like fanfiction books naturally have a huge audience. But general genres like romance, thrillers, fictions will take a longer time to find their target audience. But it's not hard.

RAPID FIRE/FUN QUESTIONS

- Reading or Writing

Reading

- Coffee or Tea

Tea

- Dusk or Dawn

Dusk. Not a morning person. 😭

- Books or Movies

Movies

- Sweet or Salty

Sweet

- Staying home all day or Travelling

Staying at home all day

- Music or Games

This is tough. I do both at the same time.

11. Many authors are prone to writer block. any suggestions on how to overcome it

I do have writer's block most of the time. Maybe someone else should give me some advice.
But honestly, I think that having a story planned out well, shouldn't give authors any writer's block. I only get blocked because I don't know how to execute certain phrases. But there are authors who have no clue what to write for the next chapter. That's unhealthy

12. What do you think is the most important thing for writers?

Creativity. You need to keep imaginations alive. A writer with no imagination is like an engineering student without maths knowledge.

13. Any experience would you like to share which you did as a teenager and that taught you a lifetime experience?

Karma is a boomerang... what you do to others will always turn back. I used to be bullied back during my school days a lot. I never spoke back to the students back then. Now I see them standing outside my consultation room, wanting for my help. Never think you are better than others!!! I always tell this to my juniors.

14. Teens authors are procrastinating at times, not only teens but also adults sometimes, any tips to avoid procrastination? Will procrastination affect their books or writing style?

Yes. I have friends who wrote and halfway didn't continue their stories. It makes me upset. You can never become an established writer (or any other career), if you procrastinate.

Tip to stop procrastinating will be, forcing yourself to come out from that zone. Do not expect your story to become famous overnight. It will take months, days or even years... But always be true to yourself and finish the story which you have started. Even if there are only 5 people reading it, be true to that 5 people.

15. Books are good friends for teenagers, they can learn good things and also bad things at the same time. Some read books which aren't meant for them. What would you like to say them?

At the end of the day, it's your call. Everyone knows which books aren't meant for them. Most of the books have a warning placed in the front, indicating it's contents. If they still want to read it, then no one can stop them.

But people with brains would definitely know what to avoid. We are in a time where no one can stop teenagers from exploring.

16. The three important things that every teen should know.

Choose your path carefully. It will affect your entire life.
Make wise choices & decisions. It will follow your footsteps till you die.
Adulthood is a slap on your face. Be prepared before the worse comes.

17. How do you feel giving us your interview? Is there any way we can improve ourselves?

Great feeling. Maybe you could try and avoid a few cliché questions. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it
