The sun was shining high up in the sky as the girls were at yet another tea party. Except today he'd be there.

The supposed Prince Charming as they called him.

'Really? Another man they fawn over'

Athanasia thought to herself.

'Why spend their life talking of men when they all have the privilege to live theirs?'

'Unlike me'

she bitterly thought quickly putting on a smile not wanting anyone to suspect her.

She stared engaging in different conversations.

Pretending to be interested when in reality couldn't care less of the topics at hand.

Maybe if her fate wasn't to die she'd actually care for them.

But when knowing your fate and how sour it is she couldn't care of what wedding dress she'd want or what opera she'd visit because any happiness would only be temporary.

It would eventually disappear.

She had given up on her father as he never once no matter how hard she tried would he look her way.

"There he is!"

"Oh he is so handsome!"

"Right?"

"Truly like a prince!"

The girls squealed excited of the mans arrival.

Athanasia looked up to see who had arrived.

She spit out her tea.

'It's Him???'

"Are you okay princess?'

Jennette asked looking concerned at Athanasia.

"Yes I'm fine"

Athanasia answered lying.

"Good evening lady's, Princess"

he bowed at the lady's
and later to the princess.

Like a perfect gentleman.

'Just like ljekiel'

she thought bitterly.

The man who supposedly loved her yet did nothing to prevent her any harm.

'Just like him'

she decided to dislike him.
Even though he had saved her.

They all sat themselves down.

"So Sir pierce could it be your engaged yet?"

One of the girls eagerly asked the young man before them.

"Hm? Please feel free to just call me Augustus and no I'm not engaged at this moment"

he answered calmly.

"I see"

she chuckled slightly as Lady Mary sulked slightly due to it being revealed that her father obviously hadn't managed to get them engaged just yet.

But that certainly did not mean she'd give up at all. No she'd do anything to marry such a prince like man.

"How come?"

A voice suddenly asked.
Athanasia was surprised by what she had asked the man but did not show it.

He looked deeply into her eyes.

Almost as if he was looking into her soul, admiring it.

'Why is he looking at me like that?' She thought.

"I'm not sure Princess, I guess I haven't thought about it before besides I'm only 17 so I figured I still had a lot of time before marriage"

he spoke honestly and kept eye contact with her.

It felt almost as if they were alone while eyes were looking through each other trying to figure each persons secret.

"That's to bad"

she suddenly blurred out.

'Damn it'

'What the hell did I just say?'

She thought mad at herself.

He smiled at her slightly.

"Why?"

He asked in return.

"I figured a lot of women would be lucky to be with you"
she simply complemented him.

'Surly he will change the topic now..'

she thought only to be surprised once more.

"Why's that?"

He asked while leaning towards on his hand looking at her with interest.

'Huh?'

"Well you seem like a good man, your far more polite than most men that exist" she simply responded.

It became quiet.

Until he started talking.

"Everything isn't as it seems though Princess"

She looked at him.

Of course it isn't, she knew that better than anyone. She wasn't gonna lose to some ljekiel copy.

"Oh are you implying anything then?"

She responded giving him a sharp glare. One of those her father was so very skilled at giving the servants.

"No I wouldn't dare princess"
he replied.

Suddenly Jennette clapped her hands together and announced that they should take a walk in their garden.

Everyone agreed as they wanted to get away from the tension that had risen between the future earl and princess.

'Honestly I can't tell whether they'd be enemies or lovers with that tension'

one of the girls thought looking back at the pair.
