Set-Up

NARRATOR POV

"Where's Rosé?" Lisa barged into the room hers unnies were quietly making out in.

"Lisa not now, please" Jennie pleaded, her lips still lingering on Jisoo's

"She hasn't been home in two days and you guys didn't even notice or bother to look for her" Lisa screeched, anger rising painfully slow inside her. How could she be the only person bothered by this? Her best friend was missing for goodness sake and nobody cared.

"How do you know she hasn't been coming home at night," Jisoo asked, "she's a big girl".

"I know because I purposely stayed up all night to make sure she does come back but she didn't. At first, I thought I was going crazy but now I'm sure something is happening."

She looked everywhere for the blonde. She checked the kitchens, the balcony, and the huge backyard. She checked every girl's room in this house and even managed to sneak inside the teachers' mansion too. Fuck she even sneaked into the boys' room and she heavily regretted ever going in there. It smelled like a bunch of cute zorillas had farted in there all at once. Never again.

She wasn't paranoid or going insane. Okay maybe she was a little but she had a reason. There was no way in hell Chaeyoung was just 'wandering around' she wasn't dumb. There was no way she had memorised her way around the city. She was missing.

"I don't care if she's a big girl or not unnie. She's gone. Like she just disappeared and you guys don't give a fuck. I mean think about it, when was the last time you saw her or heard from her?" The younger protested

"Umm I don't know," Jisoo thought "I guess when she left us and went on a 'date' with her boyfriend that I would very much not like to mention right now"

"Exactly. Think about it. What about if he's behind all of this?"

"Lisa, please. It's too early to think about all of this" Jennie argued.

"I mean think about it" Lisa spoke, ignoring Jennie's pleadings "Unnie, remember when you told us you heard that strange guy talking on the phone about keeping someone safe?"

That automatically got Jisoo intrigued. She got up from the bed making a lazy Jennie whine about the lack of warmth that radiated from her body.

"Continue"

"What if that guy has something to do with Rosie missing"

"She's not mi-" Lisa cuts Jennie off "Shut up, you never know"

"Ok, but we don't know who the guy is" Jisoo reasoned.

"We could always try and find out who he was"

"Okay but where do we start?"

Her heart was beating fast. She could almost see it jumping in her chest. Her best friend was missing. She had nowhere to start and that scared her.

"I don't know" she breathed. Her head was spinning, feeling sick. But she didn't have time to faint, her love was gone.

"I know" Jennie spoke with a smirk.

"Hyunjin"

ROSÉ POV

No, it couldn't be.

It was him.

I jumped so hard, hitting my back on one of the tables causing them to drop like a domino effect.

Shit shit shit

I cried in pain as I felt my bones crushing together. Everything ached. Even thinking hurt. I was weak, I couldn't do anything. I couldn't even talk.

A loud bang was heard as the doors busted open.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!"

A man walked in with two guards behind him. I couldn't see their faces because of how dark the room was except for the little light coming from outside the door but I recognised his voice. So familiar yet distant.

"I LEAVE YOU HERE FOR LESS THAN THIRTY MINUTES AND YOU'VE ALREADY MADE A MESS" He slurred. Gosh, he reminded me so much of my stepdad. He was wasted so I made a smart choice not to talk back.

Now is not the time to be brave Rosie

"WHAT YOU CAN'T SPEAK NOW ROSEANNE?" He slurred again. How does he know my name? Well, he did if not they wouldn't have kidnapped me specifically.

"P-Please don't hu-rt me" I murmured letting out a shaky breath. I was so hungry I couldn't speak properly.

He laughed "Oh I'm going to hurt you" he stomped up to me a grabbed a handful of my hair. I yelp in pain as his grip was tight. He then roughly crashed his crusty lips on mine. It was dominant and hurtful. He bit my lip harshly and slipped his tongue into my mouth. One word. Sloppy. The bitter taste of vodka swirled in my mouth as he pulled away.

The lights turned on and my eyes shut from the sudden brightness, until I got adjusted to it.

I looked around and everything seemed old. The paintings hung on the walls were all scraped on. They were still beautiful though. My eyes averted to the guy lying down next to me. There was no way he was my dad.

"If you're wondering, yes that is your dad" The guy said. I refused to look at him and just stared at my father. All this time I thought he was gone but he wasn't.

"He told me he always wanted to come back and visit Italy one day with his daughter, so here we are in Italy with the both of you. Isn't this such a family reunion" he laughed.

I looked up with tears in my eyes only to see Frank (my stepdad) laughing around with a shot in his hands.

Of course, he would do this.

I looked at the two guards standing next to him and my body froze.

Our eyes locked completely to the point where even if I tried I wouldn't be able to tear them away. There he was, Hyunjin standing next to my horrible stepfather with a blank expression.

Did I get set up?
Was I dreaming

"Yes Roseanne" Frank smirked "Yes you have been set up" he said as if he was reading my thoughts. Tears filled my eyes and I couldn't process everything at once. Everything I thought we had was an act...

I'm screwed.
