You had to go with Miya to check if Reki was okay at the hospital, since he had to have his weekly check up. When you walked in, Reki said he was fine. Something must've been bothering him though, he kept spacing out.
You didn't want to ask what's wrong though, you didn't want to annoy him.
Miya knew what you were thinking, so he just signaled to ignore it.
When Reki said that he has two weeks till full recovery and that theres nothing wrong with his head, everyone sighed in relief.
It was a bit funny that he always acted like there really was something truly wrong with his head, but you decided not to show your humor to the others, it was what Miya would call "disrespect".
Miya stood up and said that Reki should've never gone against the "final boss" because Reki is what he calls a slime.
Not soon after that though, Miya went...
"I'll promote you to a golem or something though..."
Reki didn't catch it though,
"What was that?"
"He said you looked cool." Langa said as he walked towards Reki.
"Ah thanks-" 
Miya reversed his steps,
"I didn't say anything like that!"
"Man, Japanese is so difficult..." Langa sighed.
You quietly giggled to yourself as Shadow decided to step in and remind Reki about the thing that has been worrying him most.
"Stop fooling around, let's not forget that we have someone in line to go against Adam."
Reki froze but soon turned to Langa.
"Sorry Langa, it's my fault. I roped you into this mess."
"It's not your fault Reki-"
Langa stopped, leaving everyone confused.
You just kept scrolling through your phone, pretending you didn't know what was happening around you.

When you saw Reki at the shops the next day, he ran up to you.
"Y/N! I need help." He said waving his hands around frantically .
"Whaaat?" You say pretending to be unbothered.
"I don't want Langa to go against Adam, he is going to di-"
"Like I said, I don't care what Langa does. As long as he wants to do it he can, you shouldn't bbe the one stopping him, should you? Let him rethink his decisions himself. "
You say calmly, and it was true, you didn't care about Langa's decisions, to you they were dumb but to him...
" if he wants something he's not declining the offer, you should know that."
Reki sighed, 
"I know this will sound stupid, but please just help me with this one thing."
You change your gaze from the crisps to Reki,
"Help me get those up there."
Reki's expression dropped, as he looked up at the last packed of ____ crisps.
He leaned up to get them for you, but, instead of handing them over like a NORMAL person, he just held them up in the air.
"What? Are you stupid? Give them!" You say jumping up to grab them.
"Promise to tell Langa that I'm worried for him?"
You nod and he gives you the packet.
"Bye, golem!" You wave to him as you walk away.
"Golem? Wait wha-"
You were already gone.

You decide to text Miya about the whole Reki situation, you found it almost shocking that the doctors said that there was nothing wrong with his head.
Miya just said to tell Langa and leave him alone, Reki should sort out his problems himself and not get someone to do it for him.

Reki's pov

I'm getting so bored of work, I need to sort Langa out! He's definitely going crazy.
Why would you go against someone who just almost killed your best friend? 
That's if I am his best friend... if not he can go race against Adam with a broken board.
"Manager Oka! I can't get Langa to leave the race. He's desperate for death!"
I complain to my manager.
"Instead of doing the tasks I assigned you, you've been going on about Langa all day. Why are you worrying so much?"
"I don't want to see my best friend hurt, especially after that one situation..."
I say, my gaze changing to the counter.
"I just don't want to see him hurt because of... me."
Manager Oka just smiled at Reki's comment.
"Alright, I'll just try and talk to him about it tomorrow. Now go sort those boards."
"Thanks manager Oka."
I sigh as I walk away to do my task.
