The kitsune

Lexia's POV

" You wanted me?" I spoke

Hellhounds, the black Cadejo, and a female stood in my friend's path to freedom. So I pulled out my favourite toy.

The Double Bladed Reaper Staff.

Now this puppy was quite the swing. Not too heavy not to light. With one swing I took out a good chunk of the pack, not yet half but it's a good start.

When I finished the pack, the girl and Cadejo were nowhere to be seen. So I made my way over to Grey and picked him up, tossing him over my shoulder I turned to me other friends (trying to avoid Aviva's dead body) I say,

" Are you coming, or are you waiting for an invitation?" Then I walked outta the room with them in tow, the building seemed to stop catching fire . Seems that when the Cadejo left it took the flames, good thing the flames never burnt anything. Which is I guess kinda magical...

Aura walked around the corner and gave me a wolfy grin when seeing me.

"Seems they were only bluffing no other creatures coming, all I know is there's a minotaur around here somewhere. I wish I could help but you don't need any." He glanced at my friends and disappeared into thin air.

I rolled my eyes and made my way to mine and-My room, and I placed Grey on the spare bed. Good thing he was only unconscious...

Elias, Jax, and Bree all set up sleeping bags and we got ready for bed. Then we all said good night, feeling the thrill of tonight take a toll on us(Elias had freed the students and Lisa from the clozet earlier.)

No nightmares woke me that night, it was only black, black and black. I finally slept. If I did have a dream I wont remember it tomorrow. The only thing I will remember is 'his' voice, but who knows, because I don't. I mean never met the guy, so how bad could he be?

I woke up early and got dressed in the training uniform. I made my way to the school mistress's office, I was about to knock when she spoke,

"Come in Lexia!"

I went in and shut the door behind me, making my way to sit down. I noticed that Lisa looked quite tired.

"Rough night"Though it wasn't a question Lisa was too tired to notice

"You have no idea..." She said around a yawn

" I wanted to chat, but seeing you in this condition, you don't seem to be in the right state of mind." I say

" Oh nonsense, go ahead. I may look tired but I've been worse-"

"Tired! That's an understatement, you look exhausted." I exclaimed

"The child's correct Lisa, you should leave one of the teachers in charge while you get some rest. It's only a one day break!" An unfamiliar voice says

Perched on a shelf near a window was a Kitsune, it's fox like features were so obvious, I would have mistaken it for a normal fox if it weren't for it's tails (A kitsune is a fox shape shifter, with an amount of tails from one to nine, depending on their age. And have special powers, their known as tricksters, there are thirteen different types of Kitsune's)

Since when was there a KItsune here? I wonder what it's power is?

This Kitsune was a black fox with a white chest, belly, it's two front paws were white, and its tails had white tips.

"Phoenix is the name my friends." He spoke again

"Hey Phoenix, I'm-" He cut me off,

"Lexia and Lisa!"

Lisa and I exchange glances, we both don't know this Kitsune. Honestly Kitsunes aren't supposed to be anywhere near this area. KItunes prefer rocks, caves and mountains. But we are surrounded by trees and forests filled with many mythical creatures, Kitsunes not being one of them, not to mention that there are no mountains or rocks anywhere around here (probably caves, 'cause I mean this is a forest surrounding us...

Now I'm happy I took an interest in mythical and supernatural creatures.

"What are you doing here?" I shot before I could think of my attitude

The Kitsune began to laugh, which looked quite strange.

" River sent me." He says

"River?"

"My master, he is also the head base of all schools." The Kitsune says puffing out his chest

"Wait, River as in. Ranger River?" I blurted

The kitsune grinned at me.

"Why'd he send you here?" Lisa

"He got the information from Lexia, and sent me and others to look out for her and the school. He even sent a guard to personally guard this girl. Seeing as we don't fully understand her full potential." He says

I have no clue what they're talking about...

"Lexia, can you give us a minute." Lisa says

I nodded and left the room for a drink.

I made myself a nice cup of peppermint tea and did something I haven't been able to do in the school yet, I explored.

And by 'explored' I mean I lost myself in the unending amounts of library books.

Phoenix's POV

Mrs. Lisa and I had quite the chat, finally with much convincing she allowed the other Kitsunes I brought with me to enter the territory. I could smell then as they came.

And she left me in charge, while she gained her energy back.

"Oh and Phoenix, change your appearance. None of my students will listen to a 'Fox' as they call you. Your lucky Lexia knew what you were because the other students wont, and if they think your a fox have fun getting any of them to listen.especially the warriors." Lisa left with a laugh

I rolled my eyes and felt myself wavering into human form, but in human form I still had my ears and tails, I'm around 110 meaning I have seven tails. When wavering into human form we look almost transparent. Once human- partly, I take a once over at my appearance in a mirror on the back of the door.

In human form (Other than my tail and ears) I was tall and wore a suit. Tie included, I pulled and smoothed it back my hair.

"Get ready Catalyst Sacred High, things are about to change." I opened the door and walked out the office.

Let's just hope we weren't too late, the things these students need to be taught. Especially Lexia.

Poor Lexia's life has changed so much in just one week.
