Spencer's POV

I toss and turn in my bed, not being able to sleep like I planned to, there's something bothering me. I get up out of my bed and think about words that Morgan has said to me countless time, "Always trust your gut, kid." I throw on my slippers and head to Fiona's apartment again, hesitating before I knock on the door.

I hear murmuring behind the door, then footsteps growing louder as they come to the door. I expect to see Fiona open the door but am surprised when a tall man answers the door instead, someone I've never seen before. "Hey man, can I help you?" I ignore him, "Where's Fiona?"

I see him turn his head around before turning back to me, "She's busy, I can take a message though." I scoff and try to walk in, only to be blocked by the unfamiliar figure, "A message? What are you, a fucking secretary? Let me see her, I'm a friend."

He gently puts his hand on my shoulder and looks at me, "Listen, I'm a friend also and I promised her I would spend a little bit of time with her today, how about you come back in a couple of hours and I'm sure she'd love to talk to you. But right now she's busy alright?" I sigh and take a deep breath, looking over the mans face. "How do you know her?"

He looks back into the living room, then facing me again. He seems to be checking in on her a lot. "I knew a friend of hers from college who introduced us, I'm helping her through something right now and really have to go, it was nice meeting you..."

"Spencer." I reply, "Great, I'm Trey. Nice meeting you Spence."

He closes the door quickly as I hear talking from the inside, "It's Spencer." I mumble as I head back up to my apartment, something's going on, I just hope she's being safe. Maybe I'll talk to her tomorrow.

Fiona's POV

"Who-who was that?" I ask, "Some dude names Spencer, he said he was a friend? Wanted to talk to you." He says, confirming my suspicions, I ignore him, eating some of the popcorn in the bowl next to me as Trey sits down next to me, "You comin down?"

I look at him and nod, "Slowly but surely, I'm really fine, I barely feel it anymore you can head home. You don't need to babysit me." He only laughs and shakes his head, "No no no, I promised Chelsea I'd make sure you were being safe and that nothing goes wrong."

I roll my eyes and turn my body towards him, feeling the room spin a bit around me, "You like her." I state, more like a fact than a question. He quickly spins his head around and widens his eyes at me, "What? No I don't." He is a terrible liar. "I'm a profiler Trey, don't even think about lying to me."

"Should a profiler of the FBI really be talking to a drug dealer then?"

"Don't change the subject, you are head over heals for my friend huh?" He avoids eye contact and shifts away from me, keeping his focus strictly on the TV as he eats a handful of popcorn, chewing profusely. I'm so right. "What makes you say that?" He asks, and I barely understand him as he's talking with his mouth full. "Listen I'm all for seeing the good in people but there is no way you would spend hours at a strangers house to make sure their okay just because you feel like it when you could go get a lot of other willing.... customers. You did this not for me to make sure that I'm alright, but you did it for Chelsea, to make a good impression."

He groans and leans his head against the couch, "I really hate profilers." I only laugh and steal some of his popcorn, "It doesn't take a profiler to see the obvious Trey. How come you haven't made a move yet? We may not talk as much as we used to, but Chelsea obviously trusts you a lot if she's fine with you basically babysitting me." He turns his head to look at me, still leaning against the couch as I place my hand on the top of the couch, leaning my heavy head on it as I'm coming down from my high. Literally.

"I don't know, usually I'm like super confident with girls you know?" I nod, even though I understand nothing about flirting and dating, he looks at my face and chuckles shaking his head, "No you don't, your know about as much about dating as I do profiling." I only laugh and punch him on the shoulder, "Shut up, keep talking."

He smiles and continues, "Like I said I'm usually confident, but Chelsea is.. different I guess. She's super pretty and kind, she has one of the most purest hearts I know. I would want to appreciate her the right way, and I'm scared that if I make a move I'll ruin our friendship."

He looks at me and licks his lips in thought as I think of what to say, "I mean there's nothing really that could go wrong Trey, from what I remember about her is that Chelsea is super understanding and kind, even if she didn't feel the same way, which I doubt is the case, it wouldn't ruin your friendship. Yeah it might be awkward for a bit but you'll both get over it and be good friends again. I promise you'll be fine."

He sighs and looks up at the ceiling and I can see the internal struggle in his mind as he thinks over my words as I get up and grab two beers from my fridge and hand one to him, he looks at me for a second before grabbing it and taking a sip, "Thanks."

"Thought you could use it." I say under a small laugh which he returns, he looks back at me as I take a sip of my drink, "Maybe your right Shrek." I almost choke on my drink when I hear his sentence, "Excuse me?" He only laughs loudly as I smack his arm, making him laugh harder. "What did you just call me!" I yell but I can't help but laugh myself, his laugh being infectious. He takes a deep breath and wipes tears from his eyes while chuckling, "Well your name is Fiona, and I keep thinking of how Fiona and Shrek are together so I though Shrek was a funny nickname." He says.

I roll my eyes and take a swig of my beer, "Yes, I love being referred to a gross big green ogre." He only laughs and shoves his shoulder against mine, "I'm just playing....Shrek." I ignore him and smile, "You were saying about how wise and correct I was?"

"Ah, yes. You're right, I should tell Chelsea how I feel, I mean it's not every day you meet someone as special as her." He says as he chugs the rest of his beer, and my mind immediately went to Spencer as I took in Treys words. He's right, it's not everyday you meet someone so special that your scared to ruin the friendship you have because feelings got in the way.

"What are you thinking about over there?" Trey asks, pulling me out of my thoughts, "Nothing, want another beer?" I ask and he nods.

We ended up talking for a while, him only leaving when the clock said 11 PM. I shocked at how fast the time had went by, he was nice company, he pulled the bad thoughts and feelings away for the time he was there. I'm glad I found a friend out of work that I can talk to without being profiled. Before he left he pulled me in for a hug and made me promise to call him before I plan on getting high again so he can make sure I'm okay. I declined at first because he shouldn't have to watch me just because of Chelsea but he said he liked spending time with me, and that he didn't want something bad to happen to me.

I agreed, feeling an immediate bond with him and walked him out to his car. He only had two beers and that was hours ago so I let him go, if he had any more I would have insisted he sleep on the couch. As I walked up the stairs I stopped at Spencer's level, looking at the door as Trey's words rang in my head, It's not everyday you meet someone so special. I take a couple of deep breaths and walk over to his door, knocking three times.

I was about to turn around and head back to my apartment as I heard the door open behind me and I met Spencer's tired eyes, he was wearing Grinch pajama pants with no shit, exposing his tone torso. "Fiona? What's up?"

I look at him and play with a ring on my finger as I build up any left over confidence I may have.

"We need to talk."
