"Wakey wakey time for eggs and backey!" I'm woken up to hearing Susan and Hannah chant as they repeatedly jump on my bed. Suddenly pain shoots up my back right as Hannah jumps on it.

"Godric Han do you have to be such a-"I groan out before stopping myself from cursing at her, after all she's only 13. She looks down at me as an excited grin lights up on her face.

"I'm just gonna ignore what you were about to say," Hannah says still grinning happily at me, "also if your not ready in ten minutes I'm leaving you here."

Susan, who no doubt was summoned by Hannah to wake me up, hopped off my bed, ran straight to Maxine to wake her up, then promptly left. Sitting up I notice now that Maxine was sitting up as well, stretching. I also notice the other girls have already left.

"Leaving me to go where exactly?" I ask trying to adjust my eyes to the light of the sun beaming through the windows.

"Breakfast froggy, Merlin you're stupid!" Hannah says with a nod without thinking. She then pauses, eyes widening as she realizes what she just said.

"You have three seconds to get out of here before I hex you, I don't care that your a child," I say knowing fully well she won't budge till I start counting. Proving my point Hannah stays right where she is which is on my back.

"One.." I start irritation growing in my voice,

"Two..." I grab my wand from beside my pillow,

"Three-"

That's when Hannah speeds out the dorm, slamming it accidentally. I flinch at the sudden noise before the thought of getting the Weasley Twins to prank her leaves my mind as she runs back in to kiss my forehead like she does on the first day of school every year. A tradition that she started her first year three years ago, she thinks it'll give us good luck to get the classes we want. I think it's rubbish.

Maxine stands up, puts on her robes and tie, then leaves in a rush. One thing I've learned about sharing a dorm with her, is that she treats everything like a quidditch locker room.

Seeing as I have the room to myself I pull out my record player and records from my trunk at the end of my bed, pick a random one, and take the record out. Carefully placing the disk on the player and pulling down, the muggle rock music starts playing. My mother used to play music all the time according to my father, that's why he gifted me her record player for when I went to hogwarts my first year.

I put on perfume that smells like strawberries before putting on my silky black robes and yellow striped tie. Great, now I'm starting to regret kicking Hannah out, I can't tie a tie by myself. I look over at the brown clock mounted on the wall to see I still have thirty minutes left to make it to the great hall to get my time table which gives me my classes. Giving up on the tie, I lazily hang it around my neck and walk out the dorm in no particular rush.

I walk through the bright hallway seeing as it's windows are now lit up with the sunlight as opposed to last night. I skip down the stairs that leads to the common room, holding on to the rail as I go, not wanting a visit to Madam Pomfrey like last year. Once I reached the bottom I see only two Hufflepuff boys standing, facing the fireplace while quietly conversing with themselves. At the sound of my feet hitting the common room floor, ones looks up.

"Hey Sage."

"Hey Herbert," I greet refusing to look at the other boy who hasn't turned around yet. Though his blond-ish hair looks familiar.

"Good summer?"

"Yeah, me and my grandad rescued a family of nifflers, so it was very eventful," I say remembering how the one baby niffler of the family tried to take the golden wrapper of a chocolate bar mistaking it for real gold, "What did you get up to, quidditch?"
