i keep forgetting about this book 🧍🏽♀️.
let's talk about the mothafuckin plot!
EXPOSITION: basically this is the introductory of your characters. where you either give a flashback, a future timeskip, when they meet so on so forward.
in the exposition you will include your characters attitudes/moods, names, faceclaims (or a very good description on how they look), the setting and more.
when you introduce you characters like i said a couple chapters ago DO NOT SAY "hi my name is"!!
introduce their looks (if u dont have a faceclaim ofc.), a backstory, or introduce their attitude.
RISING ACTION: the rising action builds up to the CLIMAX. with the rising action you will just drop slight hints of what is gonna to happen. do not drop HUGE hints baby.
here's two good examples of rising action:
1: little red riding hood.
the exposition is that we met red, we know that her grandma sick. she's making cookie for her grandma too.
the rising action is: she walks to her gammy house, meets the big bad wolf on her way there.2: lion king
the exposition is that we met everyone & we see that scar is jealous of simba and his daddy.
(plot kill mufsa & be king.)
rising action: tells simba to go to that place & tricks mufsa and that bird.
good examples on how to build them up.
CLIMAX: the climax in lion king was that BOOM! mufsa dead as hell. & simba runs away. what is the climax for your book? how did the rising action build it up?
lets say you have two characters and they don't fuck with eacb other. character 1 talks about killing someone. so what do you do? drop slick hints. then boom your climax is that there!
FALLING ACTION: this happens after your climax. if character 1 kills character 2, then character one can see that shes on the news, so now she gotta go on the run.
RESOLUTION: now, this is where your final chapters come in. lets say the resolution that character 1 cant handle it nomore & now character 1 kills them self.
