~ addison pov

I laid in bed, Bryce laying next to me, his arm wrapped around my back as we both laid on our tummies. We had been in bed for about two hours now, our entire day basically being over now. I felt bad as I wanted to explore Texas with him, but I was too upset at the moment to be able to do that.

So instead, we both turned off our phones and cuddled. Bryce didn't want to hear from Lilly and I didn't want to hear from anyone in general.. Lilly's words got to me, no matter how hard I tried to forget them. She knew about my sexual abuse and she threw it in my face.. like the disgusting person she was, I should've known she would stoop that low.

Bryce rubbed my back under my t-shirt as he looked at me, giving me a small smile. He inched closer to me, leaving a kiss on my forehead. "Baby.. let's go out for dinner, please.." he asked me, this being about the fifth time he has asked. I wasn't feeling it at all.. but I didn't want to drag Bryce down with me.

"Let me take you out on a date." He said sweetly, making me blush. I smiled at him softly, laying on top of him as I hugged him. "Okay baby.." I whispered in his ear before kissing his cheek. He squeezed me, thanking me as he stood us both up.

We showered and got changed, Bryce putting on nice pants with a sweater as I put on a dress with over-the-knee boots. "You look beautiful baby." He whispered to me, pulling me into him to be able to kiss me. I smiled into the kiss, holding him close as I kissed him back, finally being able to kiss him and be able to feel like he was all mine.

"You ready to go?" he asked me as I nodded, Bryce taking my hand and leading us outside to where a car picked us up. We were driven to a restaurant that Bryce had chosen, a really beautiful one. It was a steakhouse at the top of a mountain. Our table gave us the perfect view of the city which was absolutely breathtaking, just like my date.

We sat down and made light conversation as we drank wine. We both ordered our food, Bryce being extra cute as he fed me. As we finished eating though, he grabbed my hand and walked me to the end of the balcony where it was only us and the view. We both stared at it, Bryce standing right behind me as his arms wrapped around my shoulders.

"Thank you for coming with me to dinner Addison.. and for bringing me to Texas. A lot has happened, but we are where we are meant to be. In one another's arms." He said sweetly as I turned around in his arms and got on my tippy toes to be able to kiss him. He smiled as I pulled back, now holding both of my hands in his.

"When you came back into my life.. it didn't seem real. I would tell myself each day that I didn't need you.. that I didn't love you.. but that is something that can't be denied. I love you, even in the times that I tried to hate you, I could never stop loving you. I know we have a past, and I know not all of it is bright, but we deserve to give us a try again.. because there is something special about this. I love you. I love you so much that not only do I think I wouldn't be able to live without you, I really just wouldn't want to. You are the reason I smile everyday, the reason I strive to be the best version of myself. I want to make you happy. I want to protect you, keep you safe and make you my girlfriend, Addison.." he said, his words making me emotional.

"Will you give me the pleasure of being able to call you my girlfriend?" He asked me. My eyes glowed and I immediately nodded, not even having to think about it. "Yes.. yes!!" I said, jumping into his arms as he held me and kissed

me. He was right, our past wasn't fully bright and we had gone through so much highs and lows.. but neither of us stopped loving the other during this. No matter what I did, I could never stop loving Bryce. He was meant to be in my life and I was meant to be his girlfriend.
