I sat on the grass figuring with my fingers. That's what I always did when I was thinking. I tried yet again to recall how I got here, but the story had gone from my mind. All I remember is her face. She grabbed me, and pushed me. I don't think I died, but one can never be sure. I live among the fae now, the magick folk. Over the months, I was affected by there magic. My ears grew longer, as did my fingers. I shrank about 6 inches, and my voice got higher pitched. The only magical ability I gained was telekinesis, even though I wanted shape shifting. I felt safe, and loved. For a little bit at least. However, the old monarch of the kingdoms was murdered, and the entire fae community was plunged into a purge. I have been lucky enough to survive this far, but I can feel my body getting weaker and tired of the fighting.
With a sudden jump, I realize how long I've been zoned out. I jump to my feet and quickly check to see if I'm being stalked. No one there. Good. I reach into a knot of a nearby tree to retrieve my bag full of supplies. I rummage through until I find a tube of chapstick. I rub it quickly on my lips before putting my shoes back in to hunt for food. Usually I ate berries and other plants, but today I was really craving fish.  I walk down to the river near the area I'm staying in and pull out one of my longer knives. I threw some bread into the water to attract fish to the surface before aggressively throwing my knife at the fishes head. Once I saw a part of the water turn red and the fish start floating, I waded into the water a little to retrieve my food. I had managed to catch myself some cod, in my opinion, the second best fish next to salmon.
After lighting up a fire and cooking my food, I sit and enjoy it for lunch. Just after I put out my fire however, I heard leaves rustling behind the trees.
