TW- DEAD BODYS, DRUNK MEN,+ the usual (check description)

———————————————————————

as we stepped through the open doors of the blackened castle, i feel claustrophobia  overwhelm me. Guards stood lining the entrance with spears trained on Gabe, Dan, Lydia, and me. They had clearly upped the security. Now, even though they were at least 50 soldiers and servants in that hallway, it was dead silent. My ears focused on the thumps of sirs  walking. We reach the end of the hall, and Sir reached out to open the door. However, instead of holding it open for me and the others, he shut it right behind him. what's an asshole. I stepped up and open the door for the others, but when I went through so was nowhere to be found. I world around, looking for Alex. Gone. I turned back around looking for the government officials. Gone. Backing up I grab the young kids faces and put my hands over their eyes as I realized what was hanging on the walls around me.
there it was, the royal family. Every single one of their bodies were hanging on the wall. Nailed there. The king the queen and the youngest child around the left side of the room. On the other side of the room only one body hung. The middle child. There is an empty place where the heir should've been, the oldest child. I gasp as my eyes averted to above the door frame, where for words were engraved.
don't fail us alex.
I whisper, choking and making my eyes water tears, it's finally made sense. Alex was the air but why is he alive. Did Alex know the killer, was he the killer, did he bargain with the killer to stay alive? well, whatever it was, I would torture the answer out of him later.
The next room we entered was a room with never will staircase lead straight down into darkness. A hand placed on my shoulder startled me.
are you scared abella? said sir.
he scared the living crap out of me.
I shook my head grabbed the children's hands and started on the stairs we walked in walked further into the darkness. finally we saw faint light and heard talking. we ran down the rest of the stairs and burst into a room full of drunk men, well mutant drunk men, to say the least. Every single person was mutant and deformed. some had horns coming out of their heads, others has hoofs for hands. The bartender was, well interesting is a way to put it. They had a goats head, but a bear body, and currently the bartender was in a intense game of Texas hold-em with a centaur. Now, at least the centaur made sense. We pushed our way to the back of the bar, hoping to distance ourselves from Sir. We found a door leading away from the bar and we slipped through into a dark room. I heard Gabe rummaging around for a light switch, and finally he found one.
A lantern switch on, illuminating a portion of the room. A dark, wooden rocking chair sat in the room. Ropes lay on the floor. A faint outline of a trapdoor lag in the floor, but as I reached out to get a further look, Dan stopped me.
"Miss Abella, are you sure this is a good idea?"
Dan was the youngest of our little posse, and his eyes were red from him rubbing them. I realized what these children have gone through and seen today. They had seen dead body's HANGING on the walls for goodness sake!!
"I'm sorry Dan, let's go back. We can get something to eat, as long as we make sure it's not drugged up."
