Okay so.
Anyone following me probably knows about FoF, the main series I've been writing for the past year. Come April, "Freeze or Fall" will hopefully come to a close, with a possible third book looming.
My plans come April will be as follows:
1. Rewrite Fight or Flight (and maybe Freeze or Fall).
This is so I can go back and fix things I wish I had or hadn't included, such as lore I want to rework or scenes that I could do without. The rewrite will be done in a separate book though, so don't worry about losing the FoF comments :D
2. Finish AO3 and Oneshot series.
I have a couple other minor works in progress, mainly on AO3. Anyone who's read my Oneshot book is probably familiar with "Killer Mood", and those who read my AO3 might know "Green" and "Bunny Bonfire Funeral". Finishing a couple of these will be my next priority, at least as a side project.
3. Prompt Ideas Checklist
I will likely be making another separate work with all the different ideas and AU's I've come up with but never had the time to write. These will be set aside as possible side project after I finish the wip's I mentioned above.
Here's the deal: Writing so much of the same thing can burn me out, especially since it's hard for me to write a lot now that school's picked up. Since I'm only able to get one chapter out a week as opposed to the daily uploads back when I first started, I feel quite unproductive. The main reason FoF chapters take so long is because I have to think carefully about the direction I'm taking the series becuase I don't have a set ending as of right now.
April is both so far and so close from now, and I'd rather not fail my upload schedule again. If I'm gonna upload at a constant pace, I'll have to take it a little bit slower, like the twice a week schedule I had around Christmas (I think). I still feel unproductive, considering the fact that when I started I was pumping out these chapters at an ungodly rate.
But what if between these slow uploads, I were to release chapters of an easier to write, already fully drafted out AU that has a simpler, more fleshed out idea behind it?
That's where I present "The Blood God's Disciple", a Techno-centered story that heavily dives into the story behind the appearance of Grian's face in the bastions, and an engaging plotline that involves Techno and Wilbur's missing triplet.
This book would be easy to write for becuase I already have the timeline of events and characters outlined, and the plot itself is relatively simple.
And don't worry, only Wilbur, Phil, Tommy, and Techno are the SMP members directly involved in the story, the only other mentions are when Techno inevitably has to explain his backstory and stuff. It is not Dream SMP centric, it is Techno-centric.
So what do you guys think? Leave your honest opinion and any questions in the comments!!!
