″Ne, Dabi-kun, if someone said I wasn't cute, how would you react?‶

″I'd ask them why they believe that, and if they piss me off, I'll sock'em in the jaw.‶

″Really?!‶

Chapter 2: The questions

It was a new day for Class S.S. ...

...and all Hell was about to break loose...

"I'm kinda sad..."

Every single head in Class S.S. snapped in Himiko's direction immediately in hearing her statement. Spinner instantly inquired what was wrong, Twice gave her a big hug, and Dabi went so far as to stop his tunes from his phone, pull out his headphones, get up from his chair, and squat next her, his head resting on her desk. 

Hell, even Shigaraki stopped playing with his Rubik's Cube to turn his head in her direction.

Kurogiri Yoru, a tall, eloquent man with dark purple hair, cocoa brown skin, and bright amber eyes who was also their homeroom teacher, even stopped the announcement he was about to make in favor of allowing Toga to get what was on her mind off her chest.

Clearly she was the heart and soul of the Special Students Division; if she left, everyone would be more or less depressed from her absence (though a few certain people would loathe to admit it).

The clamor that surrounded her died down as she remained silent, and only then did Dabi speak up, his deep and reliable voice shockingly tender as it pulled Himiko away from her contemplation.

"What happened? We can't help if we don't know why you're sad, right? So, what happened?"

Himiko's bright topaz eyes looked up through her long black lashes, her crinkled brow relaxing a bit when she saw the look in his bright blue eyes; he really was the older brother of 3 siblings, because he was using his big brother voice on her, and almost immediately she felt like any problem in the world could be solved with just a single word from him.

"Ne, Dabi-kun, if someone said I wasn't cute, how would you react?"

Silence and a plethora of smoldering gazes greeted her question as the question sunk into the everyone's minds. Someone had told Himiko Toga, the Darling of the Special Students Division, that she wasn't cute. Someone had insulted her directly, and now she was sad.

That poor, wretched person should not even be pitied; they deserve the hell that was about to break loose...

In the midst of the simmering silence, Dabi's calm voice broke it and made everyone pay attention to him.

"I'd ask them why they think that, and if they piss me off, I'll sock 'em in the jaw." 

His voice darkened at the end, the faint fury that he was experiencing in hearing that some idiotic b*st*rd had insulted his best friend leaked into his voice a bit, making everyone realize exactly how pissed off he was over the slight to her despite his calm exterior.
