Followers give you motivation. I understand that. It makes you feel like you actually have something in your writing. Add few sentences on how it would help in your bio.
Make your bio very unique. Give your information. But don't boast about yourself.
Don't make another person write your bio and tag them in it. Make your own, it doesn't matter if it ain't nice, it just has to give information about how the author really is!
Publish your upcoming books, but not like 20!
I've seen people who have 50 works and every title has [Upcoming] like you can't even find the book you want to.
3 upcoming books that are published are enough. Make sure align your completed and ongoing ones first and then the upcoming ones.
Be funny with your announcement, not too formal.
And....so sorry to say this, but people feel uneasy with talks and spreading important information. Do it! Spread it through your message board. People will know you actually give a shit about what is happening.
