Chapter 13

Blaire's POV
I sit waiting for Autumn to get home when my phone buzzes. Hey can you come over to Sky's with Aubrey? They want to say hi! I respond back with a yes and go to get Aubrey. She's in the kitchen, eating ice cream. "GURL come on we're going to see Sky, Tyler, and Ty!" She looks up from her chocolate container and says, "I'll be back later Mr. Cream!" We hop in the car and drive off to see them after leaving a note for Mitch and Jerome. As we are driving, I hear my phone beep and I look at it for a split second. I look back up to see another car coming full speed at us. "BLAIRE!!!" I hear yelling as glass shatters, and darkness overcomes me.
Mitch's POV
I try texting Blaire but she doesn't respond. "Still not answering?" Jerome asks and I nod. Ring. I look back over at my phone to see an unknown number. I answer hesitantly and say, "Hello?" "Hello is this Mitchell Hughes?" I nod, then realize the person speaking can't see me. "Um yes." "Blaire and Aubrey are in a car accident. Aubrey seems to be stable, but Blaire on the other hand... Come quickly to the hospital." My heart sinks and I grab Jerome. I explain everything to him in the car and he sits there shaking. Blaire has become pretty close to him. In a brotherly way... Once I get to the hospital, we talk to a lady behind a desk. Probably the one we talked to on the phone. "Hello. I'm here for Blaire. I believe we talked on the phone." She nods and leads us to room 240. "They're in here." We open the door and what I see I wish I hadn't. Blaire lays sprawled on a bed. Face pale, and arms bent at weird angles. I gasp before realizing there are other people in the room with us. Aubrey and Autumn stand in a corner crying. Ty is hugging Autumn. Wait Ty!? I look across the room and see Sky too. "WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING HERE?" I yell, anger overcoming me for some strange reason. "I'M VISITING MY FRIEND! AND WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?" Sky yells back frustrated. "HER BOYFRIEND!" I yell back. The whole room fills with silence as Ty says, "She deserves better." The argument gets more heated. Then we hear Aubrey yell, "GUYS SHUT THE HELL UP!!! BLAIRE COULD BE DYING RIGHT NOWAND ALL YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT IS YOUR LITTLE PRISSY ARGUEMENT!!!" All eyes turn to her and she rolls her eyes. Just then, the nurse comes in and looks at us with pain spread across her face. "I'm afraid Blaire is in a coma." And those were the words that killed me.
