Is laying on my chest

I mean, I'm not really scared or anything related to that but, I was just surprised. The fox noticed me staring at it so it immediately stood up and started licking the tears in my face.

I don't know why it's doing this, maybe it's comforting me. After it was done licking me I sit up making the fox go off me, the fox looks a bit surprised when I stood up. Did it think I was dead?

As soon as I fix my sitting position to be much more comfortable since I'm just sitting on grass that's why I feel a bit uncomfortable, the fox came to me and layed in my lap. The fox was sooo soft, it was comforting.

I reach my hand to it's fur and started patting it on the head, it's started to move closer to my hand when I did that so I started stroking it's hair now, it's hair was beautiful, it was an orange fox with a reddish color at the ends but it ends with a black color, I don't know how to explain it but its fur was shining everytime it contacts with the sunlight, making it more gorgeous.

I kept stroking it, feeling peaceful which was why I kept doing it anyway, until I realized that my hands were... Small?

I don't know. I raise my arms up gently so that the fox won't wake up, I look at my arms and... They look like a 5 years old's arms, they were small, similar to that kind of age. Now I look at my legs, they were the same size, so I'm guessing, that I'm a 5 years old that woke up in a forest, or probably a rainforest.

I don't know, I don't care anyways. I'm just reincarnated in a new life, I should do my most to enjoy the peace while it still last. The fox woke up, probably because I kept tilting my head up cause I'm thinking. It immediately sat up on my lap and looked at me, we were having some sort of staring contest.

It was like we were staring at each other's souls, until I realized that the fox's eyes were kind of similar to a human, which was weird but I ignored it. Until I thought of what it's name would be.

"Name?" I whispered almost since I haven't spoke in a while, but loud enough for only both of us to hear. I know it was kind of stupid since I'm asking a fox it's name, it probably doesn't even understand me! And to my surprise, it shook its head, meaning it's saying 'no' or 'I don't have a name'

And because of that I started thinking of one, till I realized, I still don't know it's gender, so I gently lift him up surveying his body. The fox was small so I can easily lift it up without hassle cause it was just as small as a puppy, only with a big fluffy tail.

The fox was surprised of what I'm doing till... Do I see it blushing? Nah I'm probably hallucinating. I kept surveying it till I found that it has a noodle. So it's a male! "You're a boy" I whispered, and placed him back to my lap. I was quite confused why it wasn't looking at me, and I still see that it's blushing, nah I'm hallucinating again.

Now that I know it's gender, I started thinking a name for him, till a name that first came to my head "lin..." Until I looked back to him "Lin?" I said trying to get confirmation if it likes the name. Till he nods his head, I'm still confused why it understands me.

Oh well, it's not my matter anyway so let's just ignore it

"Lin" I whispered as I now snuggle with him, I felt a bit sleepy so I thought of using him like a teddy bear since his soft. I thought it would be kind of wrong to use him like that but he didn't complain and just slept next to me.

Until I woke up, that Lin was already awake and standing on its 4 legs. I saw that he was glaring at something and it was doing some sort of protective stance like when a mother cat protects it's babies, and I was the baby
