I hovered in the doorway. The gym  was a moderate size and all equipment were made of industrial metal.  Shiny black bags hung from metal bars with thick black straps suspending from the ceiling.

Looking up I saw Jeon approaching me. "I said come at 9," he stated. "At least I'm not late," I replied. He made me wait in his office until everyone left the building. I took a few minutes to scan his office. The walls were painted in dark colors with a variety of picture frames on them. In the far corner of the office was an old wooden desk covered in books and documents. To the left, a door lead to a small en suite. Soft music came from speakers under the wooden desk. Going closer I realized it was "GO GO" by BtS.

I left my stuff in the corner of his office and went to join him on the mat. Pulling my hair back I looked up at him to see his hands extended in front of him. ''Upfront," he said.

I reach into my pocket and pull out the $300. Handing it to him I said," It's all there."

Counting the bills he asked," You sure you want to do this?" "If you get hurt I'm really not taking any responsibility for you."

Titling my head I glared at him. "Has anyone told you that you're extremely rude?" He gave me a beautiful grin. "All the time . Are you going to answer my question?" "Yes, I'm sure," I answered."

"Do you have any previous experience ?" he said an eyebrow. "Actually no I don't." I stated. We spend 45 minutes doing different stretches and warm up exercises. Handing me a jump rope he explain that I need to get in shape. I actually hate exercising but I need to learn how to fight. Taking the jump rope I proceeded with the task at hand. Although it felt like 2 hours but was actually 30 minutes of jump rope I felt severe pain in my muscles. My heart rate did increase which made me feel anguish. After an eternity I stop to gulp in air. Boy was I exhausted as I wasn't use to exercising at all. The last time I did any physical exercise was a long time ago in my younger days when I was late for school and had to rum all the way just to reach before the first bell.

"How is jump rope assisting me with fighting," I asked.  "As I explain earlier you need to keep in shape as you need stamina and endurance."

The rest of the day we worked on other exercises and I couldn't wait for this session to be over with.

When it was evening time,  he stopped and told me that was all for the day. I spread myself on the mat trying to slow my heart rate. I felt like I was dying. Sitting next to me he took a swig of water. " If you want to quit you can always do it now," he said.

Shaking my head I told him I'm not a quitter. One thing I learnt is to never quit and I don't plan on ever doing that. Watching me in amusement he decided to work on some breathing techniques before according to him I get a heart attack.

After we went through some breathing exercises I thanked him for the session and went to collect my stuff from his office. When I was done, I once again thanked him and left.

Back at the house, I shower and change, then join my family in the living room to watch a movie. During the movie, I observed my surrounding and realized how happy I am at this moment.
