It had been almost three days until that last encounter in the pumpkin patch, strangely there was no news and no cops had even showed up or questioned anyone. As if the murder hadn't ever happened. Although what did happen were some uprising suspicions from Spencer himself. It all started when he had been looking in the mirror and noticed his eye had looked a bit out of the blue or.. out of the orange to say.
"Bloody contact must be stuck in there" He said to assure himself there was nothing to worry about, it wasn't uncommon for contacts to get stuck in his eyes although he never remembered receiving colored ones. He decided to call up Rick to go to the bar and possible get his mind off of things for a while.
[ 7 hours later at that bar ]
The bar Spencer and Rick commonly went to was an old wooden bar, it had a pool table, a dart board and some seating. Although Spencer couldn't play pool or throw darts very well due to his depth perception being out of line and Rick just had horrible aim. So the only thing they did was drink and talk.
"Strange, you've haven't been drinking as much as you use to, that pumpkin patch finally sober you up?" Rick said to his one eye companion jokingly. They both wore similar black suits, Spencer had an open straight down the middle with a long black tie. While Rick's opening was a v neck with a shorter but wider black tie.
"Eh I've gotten too use to the taste" He said to assure Rick he was ok. Although Spencer wasn't exactly feeling alright, his eye was hurting a small bit and he had gotten a sudden headache. Whisky wouldn't be his free medic this time, he had ideas of seeing a doctor but was confident he would soon get over it like any cold."So I was thinkin, we should totally go camping sometime. I've heard its a blast to do it, especially when you got a ton of beer!" Rick exclaimed, Spencer smiled a small bit at the sight of his friend being a bit happy. Then Spencer got the sudden remembrance of his sleeping bag, and when he thought of the sleeping bag he thought back to that pumpkin patch, and that creature that attacked him then of his eyes being orange and then...
"Hey you alright?" Rick said lightly punching him in the arm, his face looked a bit concerned with his friend although only a bit as Rick never showed an over abundance of pity for anyone. Spencer's eyes opened widely and looked at Rick.
"Yeah I'm good, its just getting a bit late. I should probably head back. I got work tomorrow anyways." Spencer awkwardly said to his fellow suited friend.
"Well alright worker boy, I'll see you tomorrow. Try not to blank out like that at work!" Rick said to Spencer as they shook hands and spencer walked out of the bar and into the dusty parking lot. Starting up his rusty car and driving onto the main road. The ride home wasn't too interesting it was just the normal route that Spencer always took home, straight for 10 miles then turn left down exit 4 then drive 3 more miles and then he would reach his apartment. His apartment wasn't super big, but the rooms were a bit large. It contained only 20 rooms, Spencer's was on the second floor and had three rooms. A bathroom, a bed room and a main room. It wasn't too expensive either, he was able to pay rent but didn't have much left over cash so he could never spend a lot with out worrying about his rent or if he needed to repair his car. It was a good life but he filled it with worries
